So R2 has the lower price point and tradition on his side and is more accessible to small children and old people, but BB-8 is the newer, more high-tech product. Which do you think will sell more?

I was born 1983

I grew up with Star Wars and R2-D2 remains my favourite character. He is the true hero of all six movies.

But

The Sphero BB-8 is a cooler (dare I say "toy"?) product and IF I were to buy one it would be the new droid on the block. But that is purely a "which is the better toy" decision; R2-D2 remains the better droid.
