Advice for a new player

That's the best advice I can give. Mostly because - we're *all* still new on this whole thing, and with only the Wave 1 release, there are still lots of opinions flying back and forth about what to do with fleets...

Find your niche. :)

I agree with diving in and playing with various fleets.

I had a great time doing different fleet types with people in my area testing all kinds of things.

I would suggest not running both overload pulse and dodonnas pride on the same ship but other then that looks good:)

I have never played a game where I felt like Gallant Haven would've been worth the cost. Also if you start slow and save some tokens then swapping out Garm for Dodonna saves you some more points and he matches up great with Dodonna's Pride corvette/

I would recommend dropping point defense reroute on the vsd, and overload pulse since it will be hard to trigger, instead you coulda up the xx-9 to h9s and put warlord on to get that combo

Final vsd would look like this:

H9 turbolaser

This would allow good firepower at all ranges,consistant double hits and accuracy results along with 100% hit chance against squadrons
