Gaarkhan and/or Boba Fett

By keggboy777, in Imperial Assault Skirmish

How does their built in defense work? Only against attacks and you apply it to defense rolls? What about a Vader force choke or Trandoshan Hunter with Relentless : (When you declare an attack targeting a figure within 3 spaces, that figure suffers 1). Does Gaarkhan just block that. Meaning anytime there is a separate damage dealt he has one defense built in?

Thanks for the help,

Jesse

They only work on direct attacks. They don't mitigate damage from special abilities or other non-attack things.

So damage from the Tusken Raiders (in the Raiding Party mission), or Vader's Choke, or Cleave, or Blast, or the Force Lightning command card...all of these and more would apply full damage to Boba or Gaarkhan, or to a Boba who is benefitting from a Royal Guard's Protector ability.

Damage caused from abilities that are not attacks is unblockable.

Think of it as being added to the dice rolls.

Whenever Gaarkhan rolls the defense die, add +1 block. Whenever Boba rolls the defense die, add +1 block and +1 evade. Whenever a figure adjacent to a Royal Guard rolls his defense die, add +1 block, etc.
