Since they did the correct thing and didn't merely duplicate the core-set contents in the stand-alone versions of the TIE and the T-65, these pilots and upgrades will vanish. Presumably. Any chance of a second stand-alone, perhaps also with a repaint, of those original ships?

Maybe even with, gasp, new upgrades too?

Seeing how they just reprinted the original core set, I don't think it's going anywhere.

The word from the Q&A on Force Friday is that both core sets will be available.

I will also add that the original starter set has THE X-wing on the cover.

It may come across as a minor point but THE X-wing is a classic and an icon of the original films.

No matter how good JJ wars is, it will not be replacing a classic.

So until FFG decide to make a X-wing second edition we will have two core sets
