B-Wing for barrel roll. It's a pretty easy choice.

In most matchups the inability to correct maneuvers is just too handicapping.

Against Low PS obviously you arc dodge then. Against higher PS i find boost more hepful, but if you can guess their maneuver right, any form repositioning is worth more than a few shields!

You could also take Airen Cracken with Swarm Tactics to help out the rest of the squad.

I disagree. The HWKs dial is pretty much usable because it has white 2 turns and the ability to change direction on a green manouver. I would argue that because of the last part, the Y-WIng dial without Unhinged/R2 is worse. The Y-Wings dial is better for TLTs, though, because it can go faster with less effort, I would agree there.

At 22 points I suspect my new go to will be the R2/IA Rookie, but that is pure speculation for now and requires some testing. In the 24-25 point range the B-Wing with its panic loadout and FCS/Advanced Sensors abilitys will remain my favourite.

For a spam list the mixed BBXXZ seems like my thing. It also is what I could run easily. I have two B-WIngs, I want to buy two T-70 expansions, I have 4 X-Wings and I guess I might as well pick up that rebel Z-95 sonner rather than later. Wave 7 is my favourite wave so far, but wave 8 is going to come close with viable X-Wings and illicit cloaking devices.

This is a very valid point. Only one copy of this Integrated Astromech card in the T-70 expansion pack.

For just 2 points you are getting more from Y-wing. Speed 3 banks, K-turn, 1 hull more and 3 shields more as well as the possibility to get a mech.

And if you have a use for its supporting abilities. Or scummy evilness. The banks and higher tankiness are highly valid arguments and I agree that the go to ship for TLT spam is the Y-Wing, but that doesn't mean the HWK is unplayable. K-Turns only matter in unlikely edge cases when you have a range 3 turret. I will never stop saying that the HWKs bad dial is no where near as bad of a drawback as people make it out to be.

For 22 points, the Y-Wing can't bring the TLT. That is not to say they are not worth the points at 24-25, because they are. But if you are trying to get a 5 ship build, there are so many nice ships in that 22 pt sweet spot so that 4 of them leaves room for the 12 pt filler/blocker.

I just threw that together, so there are probably even better combos in the same pt range but the point is, mix and match to taste then throw in a Z or Academy for your 5 ship 100 pt list. You can even get in a some PS 4-6 ships pretty easy to counter other PS1-2 lists, or go Predator proof. I am loving the potential list diversity here at this price range.

Uh yes just that you can get Recon Spec on the HWK which does help a lot with the TLT
