In case you haven't figured it out, the difference in today's modern miniatures between a "Mars" class and a "Lunar" class is mainly how you assemble the miniature, as they come in plastic kits. Most, if not all, of the smaller ships come in metal, hence the seemingly smaller amount of differentiation and variations.
In general, I feel this is a good thing as many of the old models were simply ridiculous, like the "Annihilator" class or just butt-ugly, like the Emperor-Class Capital Ship. There was an Ork ship which had huge arms, pincers and a drill...
Alas, I have many of these Archeotech miniatures and many of them were elegant, stylish and bad-ass looking. In particular, I have a fondness for the old Gothic, Firestorm and Cobra models.
As these models are perfectly servicable, and are different enough to even serve as a plot device, is there any interest in posting stats for them? We'll have to take some artistic license. For instance, Space Fleet "Battleships" were Cruiser-sized.
