This seemed like the coolest adventure, so I thought I might use it as a mini-campaign when trying out Edge (so hopefully someone else will decide to run a regular game).
Naturally, since Jewel isn't for starting characters, that entails some modifications to either a lot of the difficulties and costs, or giving people extra stuff. Generally, I've seen people suggest anywhere from 100-200 extra XP before starting it. I'm probably thinking something like 150 here. Since the players will know the premise of the adventure, characters will (in theory) be more skilled at the heist type stuff than otherwise normal. On the flipside, nobody has played before, so it might be a bit better to be generous to cover for inexperience. The two opposing factors suggest something in the middle of the range.
However, money is a lot trickier. Starting characters in Edge seem really poor (sans obligation bonuses). And some characters, like an outlaw tech, kind of need to have money to do their gear upgrade stuff. The adventure has some additional costs as well. I have no idea how many creds people should start with.
I've seen some people suggest scaling down the guns on the cloud racers so people can shoot more without just blowing each other out of the sky.
Anything else?
