What the News is Predicting

My point was that the Prerelease event is not a guarantee of anything. And considering they originally planned Wave 2 for July according to their own announcements things aren't going as planned for a variety of reasons. This isn't a criticism but an observation. Because things aren't going to plan combined with no shipping update leads me to believe that the event and general release won't be near each other.

Ok, but look at the most recent X-Wing pre-release. The ships were on store shelves 3 weeks after the event.

FFG is better and manufacturing minis since X-Wing debuted, and they can schedule the event whenever they want. All evidence currently points to having ships in our hands by the end of October, and that is because of the pre-release event. This doesn't ruleout things unknown to us that could (or possibly already are) delay things. X-Wing Wave 2 pre-release is irrelevant.

I don't expect to see the full release until early November and possibly later, it would be nice as I have already paid for my order but I'm happy to keep playing with the toys that I have now for a while.

The preview articles are to help promote the massing at sullust events and give players an idea of what will be in the packs as they will have to build a fleet using the new content if they end up in the finals.

I guess we'll see at the end of October. I'm not getting my hopes up.
