Help FFG...I need more TIE Bomber Pilots

I'm sure this has been covered before but a quick search for "TIE Bomber" didn't show anything up.

TIE Scimitars are great, TIE Gammas are at home in Epic, what we don't have is the aces that fill the intermediate points gap and still allow them to carry ordinance.

Jonus buff others (hence no ordinance) and Rhymer, while fun, is very expensive. Need a gap filler with some fun abilities and enough space (points) to carry some ordinance.

Loving the sight of bombers and punishers tearing into rebels and scum, would love the gaps filled thanks.

I think it's generally agreed that Imperial Aces II should have Defender and Bombers.

I would agree with that. When Deathrain wasn't revealed but we had the Punisher already announced you could read "Whe... drop...", which I believed (hoped) to be "Whenever a bomb is dropped (by a friendly ship (at range x))". I hoped for some kind of bomb-Jonus/Howlrunner.

There are some things you could do with that: Trigger bomb effects twice (even those of your opponents maybe)! Enable friendly ships to use a wider array of manouver templates!

I love Bombs, they are my favourite mechanic in the game. I also love playing both TIE Bombers and Punishers. More Bomber pilots would be just fantastic. A second wave of ace packs, please!

I fully expect a Bomber aces pack with a Gamma Squadron repaint. The Bomber has been one of my favorite ships since Wave 3 and I too, would love to see it get some love in the form of new pilots and some sort of title.

I was actually really underwhelmed by the TIE Punisher. It's a Bomber with more stuff... But essentially just an upgraded version that fills the exact same role... Not very interesting to me when the TIE Bomber is already pretty good at its job.

Yeah I felt the same about the punisher, the bomber is the OG, and i'd like to watch 4 ship wings of them wreck face.

Just wait until the next wave. with the new Target Lock missile coming out, Jonus and Bombers should see new life. I am looking at a Deathrain, Jonus, 2x sigma. Jonus has the TL missiles and the others have ordinance to wreck something.

The spice to the Tie Bomber is it's loadout, not the pilot.

Tie Bombers rule. More pilots are most welcome. Pilots with EPT.

And one of them with the ability: "After flying a K-Turn you may obtain a TL"

How about one who's ability makes allies immune to the AOE effects of bombs?

That might be tough without a printed arc on the card. I want an Imperial Nera Dantels, though.

I want several upgrades, titles and new pilots for my bombers and that would boost me to having my fifth bomber. We also need more range 2 only ordinance that is really good before Rhymer will return.

I want a bomber ace (no EPT) that can drop two bombs in one turn and then none the next (kind've like a bomber Corran Horn). Lt. Deathfire McDibs.

There are several upgrades that I would suggest.

A) New Tie Bomber Pilots

1) Pilot Skill Value 8 (Named)
Ability, target of opportunity, this pilot may fire anytime during the activation phase.
2) Pilot Skill Value 7 (Named)
When rolling dice for Bombs, reroll any blanks.
3) Pilot Skill Value 5 or 6 (un-named)
Add an Elite Pilot slot.

B) Tie Bomber only upgrade cards.

Convert one Torpedo/Missile/Bomb upgrade for a different Torpedo/Missile/Bomb upgrade. Cost 0 points
Convert one Torpedo/Missile/Bomb upgrade of a Crew Upgrade/System Upgrade/Extra Modification Cost 0 points.
Advanced Missile Control, Acquire a target lock at the beginning of the combat phase. Cost 2 points.
C) Electronic Warfare version of the Tie-Bomber
(Electronic Warfare Version. Remove two torpedo slots and the bomb slot. Add two System upgrade slot and a crew slot. (With the ability to pass Target Locks! Because that is what EW Vessels do!)

A1. I could see it, wouldn't it still suffer from the problems of ordnance though? I suppose deadeye would be necessary because target lock would, no pun intended, lock your target in. Please tell me if I am looking at this wrong.

B. I agree but make it limited. I think someone came up with that idea already, here is so you can see what theirs looks like (idk what the + is about though).

C. Im not sure anyone is going to take two missiles without extra munitions. Check out the Tie/Sh idea I posted earlier, if it can pass target locks then it should cost points.

just take a picture of yourself and glue it over a random bomber card you have.

I would dare say I think TIE interceptors are better in Epic than TIE Bombers.
