Battle of Endor (I'm not spoiling anything)

By Punning Pundit, in X-Wing Off-Topic

I literally just opened the Shattered Empire comic and read the first page, which tells us that the comic is starting as the Battle of Endor is ending. I had a thought, and I was curious how people would feel about it:

What if, in this comic, we saw a couple E-wings fly past Luke's view of the Battle? It would be in the canon, but kind of a retcon. Would people be happy to have them, or annoyed at the change in the entire story of the E-Wing?

Or both? Or neither?

Did you just spoil an E-Wing?

DID YOU!?

Nah, wouldn't mind at all. Not a fan yet of the E-Wing, but I like it more than the X-Wing.

Hope there's a K-Wing, as my favourite ships are Bs, Ks and As. Two of which are Return of the Jedi Canon approved. Just need the K-Wing.

By the way I want to enjoy Shattered Empire, but I'm getting the all-in-one version in November so please warn before of any plot spoilers you might give out....

If it meant E-wings were back into the canon, I'd be perfectly fine with it. I'd prefer to keep them as a later development, but I'm ok with it being that early.

They still are canon. Legends doesn't equal non-canon. Did you forget my past posts on this subject?

Which in fact proved nothing. The links neither confirmed nor denied what you were saying.

Actually they did prove what I was saying, that EU wasn't being scraped/decanonised. All though not that I think about it you did lie a pretend that you found nothing so I suppose you would claim now they prove nothing ehh?

Stop that. Stop that right now. The argument is pointless and annoying.

In case anybody's wondering, Aftermath has a list of everything that is canon in it.

And I wouldn't be bothered by there hypothetically being E-Wings at the Battle of Endor.

I would rather there be T-Wings there or better yet both E-Wings and T-Wings but I would be happy with just E-Wings.

Both classes are in my top five favorite EU/Legends fighter models but the T-Wing is higher on the list.

Now I'm done with your factless beliefs.

Soo back on topic, is the E-wing actually back in, or are you just giving me false hopes?

The E-Wing did not make an appearance at Endor in the comic that premiered yesterday. Sadly.

I did see a Rebel dropship I'd never before seen. It looked like an evolution of the Republic gunboat from Episode 2. I posted a picture of it on another off topic thread.

Don't engage. His views on what canon means really, really doesn't mean what it means to the rest of the fandom.

I loved Shattered Empire. Got a few new squadron names mentioned (Yellow Squadron, Corona Squadron). Slight Tycho mention (kept Green 3 as the A-wing that went into the DSII). And, quite likely, Poe Damerons origin. Literally.

That is actually not new:

Or atleast the concept isn't.

Nothing said it was still canon, except it was vaguely inferred that it is still used as a source. I never lied or pretended about anything. I searched your "key words", and only one came up (the interview with James Luceno). I already stated that.

Now I'm done with your factless beliefs.

Wake up and smell the roses, talking about canon is part of the topic. Yeah actually you did lie, you said that your searches found nothing about what I was talking about. The articles I that you found and ones you didn't show that Legends are secondary canon.

My facts are not fact less your ignoring what important SW writers or other people involved with SW are saying about canon. Why is that?

By the way even if you ignored "Legends" FFG brought the E-Wing back into canon anyway.

Your views on canon don't fit LFL dictations on how canon works.
