Okay, so I have a relatively limited collection, but I was wondering if this list would be competitive:

Proton rockets are good on Vader, but only if you have engine upgrade. Otherwise it can be tricky to get the range 1 shot.

The problem for Delta with HLC is dice modification. Because he fires at PS 1, he rarely has his focus token left, although that is not so much of a problem if your opponent is busy worrying about Vader. Even so, HLC works better when you have reliable tokens to spend on offense, and therefore it likes to be on high PS ships, or a ship that can get dice modification some other way (like FCS on a b-wing, or for the defender, running it alongside a squad leader or fleet officer ally).

I would suggest at the very least going with ion cannon on the delta and engine on Vader, but ultimately, I think you need the x-1 title and ATC to make Vader really shine (and an EPT would be really nice).
