Can I use my new T-70 and Tie/FO cards, dials, bases, and upgrades on my original ships?

At first glance I originally thought the new ships just had updated color schemes, but upon further examination, they ARE different models.

I was originally thinking yes. Considering they are just different years of the same model vehicles. (Kinda like how car parts fit similar models from years 95-01)

I'm sure it's up to the opponent, but I was wondering about it in a more official sense. I know the rules say you can't use cards/ships unless you have the specific models to go with them. But, seeing as how these are the closest related ships that have been released, maybe the rule needs updated or clarified.

In friendly games know one will care, but in tournaments you've have to pony up the cash! To get the T-70 x-wings if you want to use them that way.

You have to use the correct model for the ship.

No matter how close they look.

Pray the Special Forces tie looks different enough.

regarding the carrier, we need to see the rules for it before we have any idea of how that thing operates

note, however, that the rulebook states that any upgraded limited to a ship-type refers to any ship with the entirety of the specified name

for example,

Tie Fighter only means

Tie Fighter (old one)

and Tie/fo Fighter (new one)

so if Gonzati only carries Tie Fighters, it'll be able to carry Fos

I don't care if you can't in the game. I am so loading up my Gozanti's with various TIEs and taking pictures.

The carrier should be able to handle four of ANY TIE. That's my two cents. The pilot card might clue us in a bit...

Not sure about the rules, but as for physically fitting, they are no different than regular ties just a new paint job, for what I understand.
