What is a good palpmobile sqaud with upgrades and all?

I know it suppose to be Vader, Soontir, OMG and the Emperor but what goes on them.

Soontir always gets: PTL; Stealth; Royal Guard Title; Auto-Thrusters; Vader should get the TIE Adv Title. but after that?

I'll put in a vote for Palob as well.

Not your traditional "support" ship, but being able to strip focus/evade tokens in a (dwindling) 2-ship meta is incredibly valuable.

Palob is in my opinion the best support ship.

After that I'd actually say the GR75 set for electronic warfare.

Depends exactly how many points you have left, but ATC, Proton Rockets and Predator are a winning combo on Vader.

I think the best 'Palp Smear' squad is

-ogp with Palpatine

-Vader with atc, tie/x1, engine, predator

Your damage output is insane and your arc dodging is superb. If you're super concerned with other high ps arc dodging lists then you can run Vader with vi and a 2 point bid but predator is killer. Nothing like burning down a ywing in 1 turn from those two being range 1 with incredible modification of dice.

As much as I love the Omicron with Palp, and the FO/AdvS combo, I also feel like I should bring up Jan Ors.

Jan with Wired and TLT should be a great companion for any other PS8+ ships. She can use her ability to grant them a bonus on their attack, and then gains free rerolls on all eyeballs for the rest of the round.

I wouldn't really put Palob or Mux as support ships. Biggs, howl, Rebel HWKs, Imp shuttles. They all have abilities that directly aid their squadmates. Torkil you could maybe make a case for, but I don't think palob would be considered support. Serissu for sure.

Huh? Was that supposed to be a Hull or a Shield Upgrade instead of a Targeting Computer?

Nope, I wrote what I intended to. Stealth device makes the first point of damage you take incredibly bad as you suddenly are down to just 1 upgrade on soontir. Vs. Tlt or some automatic damage (but especially tlt) soontir is less fragile if he can just take a hit or two rather than having to spend everything each shot to try to avoid losing an upgrade. Tlt becomes less scary if you don't have to panic and throw all your tokens at each shot it makes.

"Howlrunner" is of course the correct answer to that question. Taking TIE Fighters from mostly annoying to properly lethal since the very start of the game, and still going strong.

Poor gal rarely sees the end of a match, but will have had a lasting impact by then... Until she goes down, she not only gives the re-rolls, but also basically functions like an Imperial Biggs - any ship able to shoot at her, will do so! ;)

I don't agree with the term ALWAYS on any ship. Here is the bones of my list:

OGP+Palpatine

Vader+EU+ATC

Soontir+PTL+Autothrusters

This leaves you with five points. I personally like OFFENSE! I'll put Predator on Vader and then a TC on Soontir (or maybe an AP Laser on the OGP). I've also put SD on Soontir and then equipped Vader with Determination or Calculation. I find (because of the shuttle) that Lone Wolf rarely works out for me.

That seems counterintuitive to me. Soontir is more likely to need to spend a token or to get hit by a point of damage by TLT without a Stealth Device than he is with it. If Stealth Device prevents one point of damage and you lose it, it was worth its points. If it stops more than that, then you came out ahead.

I want to get a single translucent green die to use when I have Stealth Device just to have a better feeling of when having it mattered.

EDIT: I just took a sharpie to one of my spare green dice. Same effect, and it was free.

HWK-290 can be a useful ship in various situations

Using Rebels, people go to Jan Ors or Kyle Katarn. I have used Roark Garnet effectively with Swarm Tactics on Lt. Blount and Airen Cracken along with a Blue Bwing to get 3 ships attacking first. With certain missles on the Z95s, it makes for some devastating first strike attacks. Thinking about it, I may go back to Roark for my next game...

With Scum, most people go with Palob, but I like Torkhil Mux. Nothing better than making Whisper or Soontir PS0 and firing on them first. Pretty effective way to kill Whisper quickly and eliminate Soontir's tokens before he fires.

Palpatine is probably the only time I'll even try a Stealthed Soontir, as he's the only one who can truly make those green dice reliable. But I still usually go with Shield Upgrade on Fel, as Vader Crew is solidly a thing.

Not exactly a support ship but I did run a nice shuttle the other day.

Proved to be quite an effective tank. Shrug off 1 hit per turn with the jammer and auto evade with the emperor. Plus 4 dice attack at all ranges. EU just to turn him around faster.

That's a 44 point shuttle. What else do you run with it?

i ran it with a fully kitted punisher the first time but it was the TL pilot not a generic. am dropping down to omicron next time.

A player's local metta will influence the upgrades these ships take for sure. Personally, my counter to Vader crew has always been keep my more delicate ships away from Vader's ship and take it down quickly. I find points spent on Defense very rarely help you win a game. I've got 60 to 75 minutes to hit harder than the other player. As Mel (the cook on Alice) once said, "The best defense is a good offense."

With K4, Bossk, or Weapons Engineer you can get two or four procs of her ability per round of shooting - she essentially puts an entire extra ship on the battlefield when used correctly.

Let's assume she's running Gunner, Bossk, and Weapons Engineer and is flying with a PS9 and two PS2's. For her action she places two TL's onto two separate ships (WE). Her PS9 compatriot fires at target #1 for whom she pops her TL. Her turn comes around and pops her TL for herself, misses, procs Gunner and Bossk. Bossk gives a TL that WE turns into two TL's. The two PS2's both get to take advantage of the new set of TL's.

I guess in this instance you would have four procs but only three (potential) extra points of damage and you wouldn't be able to focus fire as much. Realistically you're doing two extra damage on a single ship every round - so we could say that she adds an Accuracy Corrector'ed ship to the board?

from what i can gather it would be as the following

Green move K4 TL 2 people as per Weapons Engi

Use ability on two higher PS shooters

Latts gets a shot

MISSES (as per bossk)

focus stress Target lock then TLx2 per Weapons Engi

use ability on two lower PS

However i believe with that layout it is impossible to make come true. theoretically amazing, factually impossible.
