K-Wing Dial not "round"

By Grobb, in X-Wing

So my K-Wing dial either isn't round or the holes are not centered properly, which means that as you spin it around there is a bit that sticks out from the dial.. which would mean that a savvy opponent who knows where this bit is could infer my maneuver from it.

Is this a general printing problem with the K-Wing? Or is my particular bit of punch board a bit iffy?

Thanks for your feedback

From what I have gathered from FFG, if you send them a photograph of the issue, they may send you a replacement piece. The other option would be to try and remove the excess material.

Mate of mine had a problem with the arcs of his k-wing bases not printed centered, not sure if he had the same problem with the dials, but if they were on the same card that would be likely, anyway he called the shop and they told him, he could return them and get a replacement. So either contact your shop or FFG, I'm sure they will replace the misprints

Ok, now I'm paranoid about my K-wing cardboard. Must check at earliest opportunity!

Contact FFG. They have a history of taking care of their customers.

Never noticed this on my first k-wing, but I just checked my new one and its dial is a tad off. The base tile is also printed a little high so the LoS lines don't actually touch the corners. I'm not going to worry about it though. Neither is going to be noticeable from across the table so I don't see an opponent taking advantage of it unless they have superhuman vision.

LOS lines don't quite reach the corner normally.

The firing arc, LOS, is less than 90* for all ships, not sure w hy they did it, but it was on purpose Ive heard!

The stats at the bottom of the tile are also further from the edge than on others.

That's because the cardboard wasn't placed properly during the cutting process.

Even 1mm displacement can lead to this.

(It's one of my two jobs, so trust me on this.)

That makes more sense and it may be incorrect, but just wanted to make sure you knew that the firing arc isn't actually supposed to be flush with the corners.

I have the same issue with my dial, but didn't think to check the bases.
