But I find the greens on an X-wing to be too limiting for good old D2. Maybe I need 2 coresets, and take another T-70, for the auto-thruster shield recharging capacity...

D2 exists to work with Luke however. They synergize perfectly. Turns him into one survivable little bugger.

It just makes him really resistant to damage. His ability makes it likely that you'll get at least one evade result every time you get shot at and then R2-D2 lets you patch up a shield every round. Playing with just the core set, it is almost impossible for Luke with R2-D2 to lose to a pair of TIEs if he can get one off of the board quickly.

Can Poe use his pilot ability to change an eye to a hit, THEN spend a focus token to change a blank to a hit with guidance system?

Poe with Lone Wolf, Auto Thrusters, and R5-P9 shreds TLT Y-Wings. The only thing is you must never NOT have a focus token on Poe. Talon roll and you are in trouble.

Our group has been flying against (4) TLT Y-Wings as practice and Poe is a beast against them. The pairing of Poe and Luke has been working very well.

The other list killing (4) TLT Y-Wings is Howl Runner, (3) Avenger Interceptors with Auto Thrusters and either Back Stabber or a Tie/fo.

The K-Wing builds with Miranda are next for later this week.

Poe is a top tier pilot.

That would make Luke 1 less point than the Poe Build or more expensive than the Poe Build.

Just a rough estimate but I think Poe would have the better dice probability in both green and red dice giving Poe much better Jousting value. Not to mention a better dial. X-wing don't do too well when restricted to green moves and if stressed you won't get that 3rd dice.

Yes, he can, but then he doesn't have a token to use his ability on defense or to get a shield back.
