Edge of Darkness IC

By ColonelCommissar, in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG

Seeing that only the dead are left behind, Geoff looks at CT when inspiration strikes. "Wolverine, go out there and help Hotdog." Geoff nods at the droid to ensure it understood him.

Quickly moving to the other side of the house, Geoff once again starts shooting at the oncoming stormtrooper, hoping to once again provide a distraction for Toco or Oro.

[Maneuver and Action: Move to the door and lend an aid (boost) die to whoever is going to shoot at the stormtroopers trying to flank us.]

Toco will act in the sixth slot.

Oro hears the orders and sees the rest of his team heading out, and follows them. As he rushes out the back door, he sees that the trip back to their vehicle may not be an easy one. He takes a quick look around to consider alternatives.

[Maneuver to move out the door, and I'd like to do a Perception check to look for other escape routes - sewer entrances, ladders to rooftop, a random parked truck to hijack, whatever. ]

That's an Easy check

[i am using a Destiny point for this check, since we need to find a way out.]

Perception check: 1eA+1eP+1eD 4 successes, 2 threat

Oro look down the road. Set into the wall of the university is an old wooden gate, from when the University was first built. It looks easily accessible, and perhaps it will provide a quick route back to the garage. However, in looking for a way out Oro is distracted, giving his foes an opportunity.

Next attack on you gets a Boost dice

CeeTee looks at Geoff and gives of a quizzical buzz "Wolverine?"

Colonel, would I recieve the setback that is being given to us from the lights being out. I have got Electrobinoculars as my 'eyes'.

As we've agreed, the setback only applies to the Imperials. Good roleplaying though!

After noticing the wooden gate, Oro tries to alert the rest of the group. "Hey! Short cut!," he yells while pointing frantically towards the gate.

incidental perception checks to see if we hear the shout?

While I appreciate the thought, I think it might be better so far as keeping the game moving is concerned if we assume everyone either heard or will follow along in the next few moments.

Colonel, could you give us an update of where we are initiative and situation wise?

Now there's a question. As I understand it, Rax and Oro are out the back of the house, Geoff, Ceetee and Issan are on the ground floor inside and Toco is upstairs. There are still Imperials at the front with whom you are engaged, and more at the back who are out of engagement range but approaching. They heavily outnumber you

Toco hears the call out from Oro and heads towards the back of the house.

Toco uses 1 Maneuver to get to the ground floor and uses his Action for a 2nd Maneuver to head out the door.

I'd still prefer to use the 6th PC slot; but if no one else pipes up, I'll go when I can.

Rax hears Oro shout, and starts heading that way. "Heading over!"

Rax spends maneuvers to move to where Oro is. If I have one left, I'll use it to start running for the truck.

Hearing the shout, I start to head in the direction. Seeing Galth overtake me I figure he will be making for the truck.

Ill follow and stick with Galth, for this movement.

Who's Galth? You run past Rax, but the others are somewhat confused...

Last I remember (though I should just go back a page or two to confirm), Rax (aka Hotdog) was going for the vehicle, trying to keep some cover between him and the flanking stormtroopers.

I was at the back of the house, trying to keep the stormtroopers behind cover while providing a boost die (if possible) to the next attack towards them.

CT (aka Wolverine) is following Hotdog.

Oro found us a way out, hopefully. I don't believe he will be attacking this turn, I guess.

Toco is next, though originally he wanted to go last so he take a few shots at the oncoming stormtroopers.

That leaves Issan, who has not acted yet.

Also, there was a floating upgrade and boost dice for the next attack, though I believe that was for the stormtroopers out front, not the ones on the flank.

Ahh... -_- lol. yes Rax is who I follow

One team of Stormtroopers sprints across the street from their transport to the doorway, readying to enter.

Unless I'm very much mistaken of course. We've not had actions from Issan or Toco this turn so one of you go and then it will all get interesting...

Toco scrambles down the stairs.

"Can only wait so long, Got to move."

Toco uses 1 Maneuver to get to the ground floor and uses his Action for a 2nd Maneuver to head out the door.

As Toco reaches the door, he looks back to see the Stormtroopers flooding towards the building. One group aims in through the front door windows and opens fire.

Targeting Toco: 2eP+1eA+1eD+1eS 2 successes, 1 advantage

9+2=11 damage minus soak

Toco collapses in the doorway with a grunt, face down on the step. The door splinters in its frame, collapsing to the ground in a shower of splinters and vapourised wood. The way in for the Stormtroopers is wide open.

Toco crumples to the floor.

Wound threshold is at 14 of 13. So I think I need a critical for exceeding my threshold.

Crit Roll: 1d100 9

Slowed down - you get the last initiative slot.

Issan curses as he sees Toco go down. He quickly packed up his camera and calls out to the medic. "We've got a man down!"

Issan spends a maneuver to catch up with Toco, and then another (costing 2 strain) to get into nearby cover

Issan grits his teeth has he can see the stormtroopers move in. "Dammit, it's Polik Square all over again!"

Issan will spend an action to shoot at the stormtroopers that shot Toco,

Revenge for Toco!: 2eP+1eB+1eD 0 successes, 3 advantage
