Cee-Tee is curious id anything came up on while seeing if the ship was running smoothly...
Edge of Darkness IC
Shaking his head at the Ithorian's attitude Geoff packs his gear once again. Seems like the Captain is drawing people like himself to the platoon. I might need to request a transfer if he truly tries to bring a total war aspect to the civilians.
As gets his pack situated, Geoff looks at the Chadra Fan. "I don't believe we met, Name's Geoff, the new doctor. Are you coming with us?"
Edited by SaroneRax has been keeping his glee barely suppressed ever since the Chadra Fan mentioned a super-charged engine. "Now we're getting somewhere! Should be fun to see what this big lady can do." He hops into the cab when he hears the Colonel's call and brings the engine to life, taking a good listen to get the character of the vehicle.
Tapping Issan on the shoulder,"Lets mount up."
Tocco feels that zing of adrenaline as the Rebels start moving toward battle.
"Of course I'm coming!" Tookur squeaks, clambering across Rax and strapping into his seat. "I look after truck! I'm not a fighter."
The A-A5 is stock but with a speed of 3. Enjoy. I should just remind everyone that I'll be away over the weekend so I probably won't be able to post until Sunday night
Rax listens to the engine with a look of awe on his face, which slowly transforms into a very, very big grin. He turns to Tookur and says "I think you and I are gonna get along just fine, lil' guy."
Taking a seat in the back, Geoff looks at the Issan and the two soldiers. This is not good, sending us into the field without a better briefing. Especially if they are not giving us more information.
"Hey Issan, what kind of footage are you looking for?" Geoff asks the twi'lek, pointing at the floating droid. "Would you be interested in getting video and picts of the refugees?"
Zavvel's crew, laden with enough firepower to bring down a walker, crams itself into the back of the truck, crushing you up against the compartment wall. The smell of fyceline, fuel and body odour wafts heavily about the sealed vehicle.
"Let's go," the Weequay growls in a voice like rock slide. "The Imps aren't sitting around talking about the kreffing weather so neither should we."
The column of vehicles swings out of the warehouse and into the streets. It splits into single vehicles or groups of two or three, passing through the darkened streets towards the target. With Tookur navigating, Rax guides the truck through to the loading dock. It's on the nearest side of the university to your base in the Industrial Sector, at the top of a hill. The truck glides in, before settling down on the floor of the dock. A Gran dressed in neat overalls slides open the door to the van, revealing a room that is utterly dark but for the moonlight from a single window. The other Rebels leave the truck in a hurry, tugging tarpaulins from nearby stacks over the vehicle to conceal it.
"Let's go, time's wasting," Zavvel goes to lead his troops out.
"Time to get to work," Oro says as he climbs out of the truck and helps with concealing the vehicle.
Rax hops out, drawing his blaster pistol while looking around for any suspicious activity in the area. Well, besides us, he muses to himself.
Rax is attempting to make a perception check, but I'm not sure what the base difficulty would be. Should I just roll his positive dice and let you roll the negatives separately (publicly or "behind the screen")?
Edited by GalthToco leaps to help Oro with the tarps.
Cee-Tee goes and stands next to Rax.
I'll assist in the perception check.
Edited by TitchFenderIt's a Hard check to see what's going on. Oh, and I'm the one who uses red text. You good guys get blue only!
Nothing more than the darkness of the old town, with the glow of light from the industrial sector and the suburbs, is revealed to you.
"Rax, I don't see nothing"
while here I'd like to keep an open eye on the surroundings (I will also keep an eye as far as my Enhanced Optics (Electrobinoculars) will allow)
"Rax, what am I doing here anyway... though I was assigned to other jobs"
Edited by TitchFenderAfter finishing up with the carrier, Toco heads towards our position. "Need to find a good firing lane."
Your objective is to the south of the university, a good distance from where you've parked.
"I'll just stay here. Look after ride. Keep engine warm," Tookur settles into his seat, and produces a datapad seemingly from nowhere before opening up TopSpeeder magazine.
You leave the garage and head south, around the edge of the campus towards your positions on Sorrell Street.
Here, have a badly-done map:

_____Line of Houses_______
_Sorrell Street - Ambush Site_ --> Direction of Imperial convoy
Make sense? I apologise for the lack of quality, it's not ok. But this is my vision and I'm not quite sure how to represent it.
(I think the map is fine, though the labels seem to have west and east reversed?)
Oro surveys the area as the group starts to approach the Imperial convoy route. He draws his pistol, just in case they run into unexpected trouble. "Okay, team, here's what I'm thinking. We want to make sure we're not spotted as they approach, so we should certainly find some good cover. Maybe along the east wall, so we make sure all the Imperials are within the kill zone when we jump out once the ambush is sprung. Might even make sense to think about putting someone across the street if there's decent enough cover."
He starts looking not just around the area on the ground, but also for spots above street level that might provide an advantage. "Toco, think you can find a good vantage point from up high somewhere along the south wall?"
Can I do a Knowledge: Warfare check to see if I notice anything that could give us an advantage?
Your brief inspection of the university's north side reveals that it is closed up for the summer months. Certainly, it would take more time and effort trying to sneak in than simply going around. However, you observe that the heavy wooden doors could probably be blown open by a few well-placed shots or explosives.
You remember from your briefing the row of houses across from the university that backs onto Sorrell Street. This was the area that you had been earmarked to set up, on the higher floors so you could look down on the convoy. The houses around here are mostly old and abandoned, with traditional manual locks - easy enough to get into.
I've fixed the map, and made one or two changes. Yes you can take a Warfare check, that would be Average.
Edited by ColonelCommissarRecognizing Oro's good sense of the operation, Toco follows his lead.
"I wanna see if I can perch in the house (above the letter "i" in site on the map) here. Cee-Tee, can you get a door open for me?"
I roll on upto the door
difficulty for the mechanics check
Toco moves to give the droid cover while it works. Blocking him from casual viewing.

Rax nods as Cee-Tee works. "And that's why you're here, little guy. Well, that and fixing our ride if the Imps get a lucky shot in." He turns to Oro. "Where do you want me?"
