So looking over to Rax, I immedialtly pull up any internal maps of the area that I can find on the HoloNet. Studying them as quick as my processors will allow
so basically what im doing is pulling up google maps and looking for any good routes that we can take to lose the pursuers. i dont know if i should be rolling anything but all i will say is that i will relay what i find in the best possible way to Rax
Edge of Darkness IC
Thanks to the guidance provided by CT, Rax is able to calculate a route moving forward.
Rax gets a Boost next turn
The speeders open fire, their cannons targeting Oro as he leans out of the window.
Enemies get three Setback for firing at you in heavy cover.
Targeting Oro: 2eP+1eA+3eD+3eS 0 successes, 4 threat

The shots miss, instead striking a stack of crates that tumbles into the road, blocking off the speeders for a moment and crashing one vehicle. Blocked, the speeders turn back to find a way around.
Seeing the less than spectacular shooting by the bikes, Geoff grabs the hypo from medpac and run over to Toco. "This should take care of that concussion help start healing you up."
Jabbing Toco in the other arm, Geoff then looks at Oro and Rax. Man, two more injured and we need a mechanic for CT. Hopefully we have one at base to help.
[Action: Medicine check to heal Toco's critical and restore some wounds and strain:
Medicine Check: 3eA+1eP+1eB+1eD+2eS 3 successes, 1 advantage

3 successes and 1 advantage, which in addition to taking out the critical also restores three wounds and one strain. On to Issan.]
If Issan doesn't take his turn by the end of the day I'll have him assist Rax so we can move the game on.
Toco shakes his head as he feels the rush of chemicals course through his blood.
"Doc, that is some great stuff!"
Hearing Toco's compliment, Geoff smiles as he goes back to work for the next person. "It's great stuff, no doubt about that. Doesn't man we shouldn't be doing our best to not get shot."
How ever, if they didn't get shot, I'd be out of a job. Looking around, Geoff considers his next move...
Issan looked over Ceetee's dome and analyzed the map displayed. "If you don't mind a tight squeeze, there should give the Imps a run for their money!" Issan pointed to a narrow alleyway cutting through the thoroughfare which would require a sharp turn.
The auto-assist was a lovely suggestion, let me make it official.
"Tight's my middle name, bud! Hang on, I'm going for it!" With perhaps a slightly more maniacal grin than the situation strictly calls for, Rax maneuvers the speedy truck into the alley.
Edited by Galth
The alley is a tight fit as the truck speeds through it, but with the pedal to the metal it roars down and out the far end of the alley. The heavy truck, careening at full speed, speeds out - into a boulevard packed with traffic. Hundreds of ground cars stream back and forth, almost exactly at right angles. The truck's repulsors scream as Rax navigates the truck around onto the right path, following the flow of traffic. Behind, speeder bikes come racing down the road to catch up.
Next PC please. The bikes are at long range
On the truck does it have any form of communication equipment, including scramblers and jammers?
You can flip a Destiny point to have had it modified by Tookur to include a sufficiently powerful transmitter for scrambling/jamming to be an option.
If you guys are all cool with me doing that ill do just that.
gunna do the obvious thing then, scramble all communications in the area to better get the Imps off our back
I flipped the point. Two more PCs please!
"Here we go again." Toco lines up a shot at the same pack of bikers.
Blaster rifle shot with 2 Aim maneuvers. (2 strain for 2nd aim).
Blaster Rifle shot at long range with 2 aims.: 2eA+2eP+2eB+3eD 0 successes, 3 advantage, 1 Triumph
Forced to swerve, the Imperials are driven into the cross-traffic, forcing them to swerve and dart to avoid being hit.
Both Imps get upgraded Difficulty to their next piloting check. One last PC slot please
Edited by ColonelCommissarOro leans out the window and fires.
Blaster shot with aim: 2eA+1eP+1eB+3eD 1 success, 2 threat, 1 Triumph
[6 damage. With the Triumph, I'd like to have one of the swoops serve into another one. Whether or not it blows up is up to you, but if using it as a critical helps, I'll do that. Essentially, I want to try and end the chase so we have a clean getaway.]
While your shot does little damage, it strikes the face plate of one of the troopers in the lighter bike squad. He swerves as he is blinded, striking another bike as he flies and knocking it out of the fight while he is crushed against the side of the truck. The other comes flying on towards you, barreling on through the traffic.
Chase roll: 2eP+1eA+1eC+2eD 1 failure, 1 advantage, 1 Triumph

Although the bikes fail to close the range by much, they are helped by the fact that a traffic light causes the stream of traffic from the right to flood across the way. It will be harder to get away next time. They now line up a shot on the truck.
Edited by ColonelCommissarTargeting the truck - Piloting: 2eP+1eA+2eC+3eD 0 successes, 2 threat, 1 Despair

Fortunately, they cannot line up the shot. Even more fortunately, they themselves are forced to drop back by the same traffic that blocked you.
Lucky shooting Oro. Remember though, you need to do at least 10 points of damage to harm a speeder bike. If you want to target the pilot (using normal damage structuring) that's an upgraded difficulty of two. However at this point you've managed to lose one group for a turn at least. They're now at Extreme range, so I'll make one more chase roll for them (a comparative dice roll against Rax's piloting check) before they get lost in the traffic.
Grabbing a stimpack, burn cream, and synthskin from the back, Geoff moves over to Oro. "I better get you up next," Geoff says to Oro, "since Rax is the other one that is wounded right now that I can treat with a stimpack."
Jabbing Oro in the arm with the stimpack, Geoff starts working on Oro's wounds.
Heal Check for Oro: 3eA+1eP+1eB+1eD+2eS 2 failures, 3 advantage

Due to the swerving and movement of the vehicle, Geoff fails at steadying himself as he tries to apply the salve. Looking over the shoulder at Rax, Geoff shouts at the pilot. "HEY HOTDOG! CAN YOU STEADY THIS BRICK OUT? I'M TRYING TO WORK BACK HERE!"
[Actions: Using the incidental to get the salve and stimpack, Geoff goes over to Oro and hit him with a stim pack (gain 5 wounds back). Unfortunately, while I had plenty of advantages, I did not roll any successes.]
Issan grunted with displeasure as the truck careened into the busy street. "Oh, so NOW there are people around?!" However, before he could roll his eyes, and idea came to mind.
Issan poked his head out of the truck, lekkus flapping so hard Issan thought his head was going to be pulled off. Then, with his collar amp turned as far up as it could go, Issan shouted at the passing speeders. "Unless any of you want your pricey speeders to be pancaked by some reckless driving, I suggest you get the hell outta our way!"
Using "Cutting Question" to swap out my Coercion skill with Deception for this check
Coercing Traffic: 2eP+1eA+3eD 3 successes, 2 threat
Edited by ImperialSpyThe vehicles ahead swerve out of your way, desperate to avoid the truck barreling down the arterial road. However, even as the traffic clears the unpredictability of the swerving vehicles adds a sense of danger to your flight.
Alright Rax, your dice pool is 2 Difficulty and 1 Setback
Rax grips the throttle tight. "'Scuse me, coming though, one side! I got a fast truck and I'm late for an urgent appointment with not dying!"
Rax is going to flip a destiny point to upgrade his roll for this one:
3rd Drive check with Destiny: 3eP+2eA+2eD+1eS 4 successes, 4 advantage
Slamming across a junction, you see a ramp up ahead, coming off of the side of your current path and lifting the road onto an aerial road running roughly 40 feet above the cityscape. You've got a few frantic seconds in which to decide whether to take it, or to continue on your current path.
How would you like your Advantage spent?
Take the ramp part of the way up, then when the speeders have committed Dukes of Hazzard us right back off the ramp to blend into traffic while they try to negotiate back off?
Or any other method available to try and blend into the crowd.
