Edge of Darkness IC

By ColonelCommissar, in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG

After throwing the grenade and watching it finds its mark, Oro presents an enticing target for the other Stormtroopers. They unload on him, and he gets hit. Luckily, his armor absorbed a good amount of the shot, but he still winces in pain.

15 damage - 6 soak = 9 damage gets through. He's at 9/14 wound now. Looks like another PC turn now.

Going to post my roll in 2 sectiions as it's complaining im posting too many pictures.

Shooting Stormtroopers - easy - double aim + 6 boost : 1eA+1eP+8eB+1eD 3 successes, 10 advantage

OK!
Damage is at 8.
I can kick off my weapons crit 3 times. [i did forget to roll an extra boost for my accurate quality, but my own fault ill leave it.]
I will also pass on the love of a boost die to the next PC

CT, seeing that the group is surrounded, takes a moment to look around at all the Storm Troopers surrounding us. Then, taking the time to memorize where everyone is I open fire on them.

Three troopers drop dead under the eerily accurate hail of fire from the droid. The fourth, injured but still going charges in towards you, tugging out a vibroknife and racing towards Issan.

Targeting Issan : 3eA+2eD 0 successes
a-s.png a--.png a-a.png d-th.png d-f.png

His thrust comes towards Issan, yet strikes only thin air.

One PC slot left.

Issan rolls away as the Stormtrooper tries to slash him with the vibroknife, almost slamming himself into the wall. With only the surprise of the attack guiding his actions, Issan tries to counter with his blaster.

Maneuver: Disengage with the Trooper.

Action: Fire away!

Shooting at Stormtroopers : 2eA+1eD 1 success, 1 advantage

My blaster does 7 damage, I'm going to take the 1 advantage to recover a point of strain.

The Stormtrooper collapses to the ground, dead. As the last trooper raises his blaster to go down fighting, you hear an almighty crash from behind you. Chunks of stone fly everywhere as a vast shape crashes through the wall, smashing into the trooper who crumples under its front bumper. The front door pops open, and Tookur looks down at your astonished faces from his position in the driver's seat, from where the diminutive Chadra-Fan can barely see over the bumper. "Heard blaster fire. Thought you might need help," he looks around at the fallen troopers. "May have been wrong. We should go now!" he climbs out of the driver's seat to his usual position.

"Tooks, we're glad to see you anyways," Rax laughs as he scrambles into the cab. "Get in, fellas. And strap in. We picking up anyone else, or are they all clear?"

Tookur's face falls. "No others. All dead. I try my best. But you not dead! Tookur have some success!"

Anyone who wants to search the dead Stormtroopers can each add a vibro knife and two frags if they want to.

Toco grabs some frags and a blade. The scrambles to one of the gunports in the rear of the carrier.

" All dead? "

He then starts flipping through comm channels listening for Alliance chatter. Any Alliance chatter.

Toco scrolls through a lot of channels of limited use - news, sport, weather and traffic. He finds little of use until he reaches one channel with a single message repeating: "All chicks, return to the nest."

" We just got the recall order. Time to mount up! "

Toco crosses his fingers that there is a nest to return to.

Oro grabs a vibroknife off a dead trooper and sticks it into his boot. He hooks two frag grenades onto his belt. "Nice timing, Tookur. Let's not drive directly back to the base, just in case there's a trap waiting for us there too." He hops into the back of the vehicle.

"Hey fellas, grab me some too, will ya?" Rax puts the truck in gear as he waits for CeeTee and Issan to hop in.

Issan hopped in the back of the truck, and listened in as Toco tried to get someone on the comms. Then, once the recall order came through, Issan's ears perked up. " Wait a minute... " Issan looked over at CeeTee. " ...is there any way we can check the veracity of that signal? We already dealt with one ambush, rather not walk into another. "

An Average Computers check should reveal the veracity of the signal.

Seeing the rest of the team go about their business, Geoff goes over to the fallen rebel and check on the person who gave them a warning. Then again, the trooper was running for their own life.

[Action: Going to check on the fallen rebel.]

He's young, a Gotal, no more than nineteen. A soldier, but a dead one - of that, Geoff can be sure. No movement, no breathing - and the massive blaster wounds on his back provide some fairly solid evidence that he's not going any further.

Whirring, I make my way to Issan's side.

Average computer check : 2eD+1eA+2eP 1 success

The signal seems genuine - perhaps it's an automated emergency message?

Telling Issan, as best as I possibly can, the above information.

with that, I see if Rax needs me up front to try to boost power or anything while on the move.

Shaking his head, Geoff quickly puts the body in the truck with his medical gear, then gathers some gear from the stormtroopers. Grabbing two E-11 blasters and as many grenades and vibroknives as possible, Geoff considers the situation. At least we now have some additional weapons on hand.

Putting the extra weapons in the back, Geoff takes his backpack off in the bed, then looks over at Toco. "Come on, man. I want to get you looked at before we get back to base."

Letting the CMC warm up, Geoff checks out the wounds on Toco before starting his treatment. Hopefully I can get Toco up and ready before we get back to base and the wounded there.

[i'll put the body on the truck and help get the frag grenades, vibroknives, and the two E-11s on board. I'll then open up my med pack and help work on Toco's critical injury, which shouldn't be too story intensive, if real world medicine is considered.

Rax nods at CeeTee. "Heya squirt." He slowly backs up the truck back through the hole Tookur made. "Let's get this puppy on the road."

"We need to go now-now," Tookur squeaks. "Imperials may have heard me. Not quite as subtle as I would have liked. Small-small mistake."

I'm going to use 2 of my emergency repair patches to heal a total of 6 HP
(Repair patches dont do the same as stim, its a constant +3 hp. but like stim, can only use 5 in a day)
