I need a bit of clarification on when crack shot actually triggers. Does it stop focus results that change to evades with the spending of said focus? Please help...Thanks everyone in advance.

Crackshot should happen during the compare results step, after the defender has modified their results. This was clear in the old rules but isn't quite as clear in the new ones.
