Here's a list I intend to test for worlds:

2x Officers

For the final 8 points, I'm trying to decide between an Elite E-Web and Elite Heavy Troopers. In your humble opinions, which is a better choice? If something else fits better, what is it?

I played the same squad the other day, and I used those last 8pts for Royal Guards. If a Stormtrooper dies, then TWO of your figures get a focus: a ST from that group, and also the Guard who was protecting him. If you had both Guards protecting him, then even better. [And naturally, you'll have 2 copies of the Reinforcement card in your Command deck, so you can just bring the trooper back.] Protector really adds strong survivability to the troopers.
But if you don't want to use the Guards, then I think an Elite E-Web could be a great choice (free Focus and free attack from Kayn!!!)...but it's quite a bit less durable without the Protector boost from the Royal Guards.
Heavy Troopers are cool, but I'm personally just not sure if they're worth it in the end; I'll have to play them more first.

I tried a few rounds with Kayn/elite troopers/heavy troopers - also with 2 replacements cards. Every time those replacements cards came up I used them on the elite troopers. The Heavy troopers are nice but the only time they really shined was when I had "Maximum Damage" in hand. They're self protector ability only triggered once in 3 games. I never once replaced a heavy trooper over an elite stormtrooper. I really like the idea of a set of royal guards in the mix!

It's a very solid squad. Lots of Focus going around, lots of troops, lots of Health, lots of attacks. Those Elite Stormies can put out so much damage...usually 4-5 per attack roll (without Focus).
Furthermore, the Elite Heavy Stormtroopers can't use Reinforcements.
I have put the above list on the table six times over the last couple weeks. Just for reference here'e the list, unfortunately I don't have the command deck in front of me:

I started testing the above list as a variant of the list I played in regionals.

I am quite fond of that list, partially because I feel its a really solid TAC list with good game against 4x4 and Rebel Blast, partially because despite a few play mistakes the list was forgiving enough to carry it's pilot to victory in the Dallas Regional.
I have also tested this Kayn-less variant:

To the point: I am not sure Kayn is an improvement. This sounds overly negative, and certainly got my money out of Kyan most games (4/6). The two things that worry me are:
1. Low expected surges on Green, Blue, Blue dice. Shooting

1. Low expected surges on Green, Blue, Blue dice. Shooting against white dice almost never allows you to focus a buddy.
2. Higher variance performance which may come back to bite you in longer tourneys.

I just tested the above list tonight and won a game with it against a 4x4 list. Both lists was new to us both, but this list got the potential to do well. However, it wont replace my rebel tournament list
