Palob Godalhi [Veteran Instincts, Twin Laser Turret, Greedo] (28)

Bossk [Opportunist, “Mangler” Cannon, Mercenary Copilot, K4 Security Droid, Tactician] (50)

N’Dru Suhlak [Proton Rockets, Lone Wolf] (22)

I finally got to play a few games with my Wave 7 stuff. I thought I was going to roll with a 40-point YV-666 and three Cartel Marauders, but at the last second thought about Bossk with Opportunist. In my casual browsing as of late, I have not seen Opportunist on Bossk, but I figured it was worth investigating. Any good scum list with Opportunist is just begging to have Palob. Starting to plug in the numbers and upgrades, I realized it was drastically different than what I originally envisioned for Bossk (mainly w/o Mangler Cannon, Calculation, and Outlaw Tech).

Overall, this list did very well. The Mangler was really easy to keep in arc and I often triggered both Mangler AND Mercenary Copilot for double crits. I lost Suhlak without firing off the Proton Rockets, but he was a good distraction as a flanker.

I faced off against 3 turreted ships, so it was hard to keep Palob in range to trigger his thieving ability. Greedo with TLT was fun times.

Any suggestions/ideas to replace Suhlak and/or change the load out of Palob or Bossk?

I've considered something similar. Opportunist+Bossk=potentially five damage at 2-3, up to six in R1. Could be nasty.

As for your list, I don't like Greedo on Palob or really N'Dru at all. But Greedo on a 1s ship is... risky. Especially without any real defensive abilities. An EU/VI Dace Bonearm can get away with it by arc-dodging, but Palob is going to get popped for it. And he really isn't getting much out of VI, either. I'd almost consider seeing if I can't drop the extraneous stuff from Palob, get rid of N'Dru, and see if I can't squeeze in a couple of generic Zs and maybe get Opportunist on Palob as well. Maybe drop him down to a Blaster Turret and give him a K4 (a single TLT also isn't super-effective).

Thank you for the considerations. The VI isn't to get a crazy pilot bid on Palob, but to give me the option to move before or after Bossk as I please. But more often than not I moved Palob first to block Bossk and slow him down. It also worked out well in the game I tested because it also allowed Palob or Bossk to shoot in whichever order I needed to to push through the most damage on a shielded target. I agree that Greedo is a double edged sword here, normally one I would put on Bossk for more damage because he has the shields to handle it, but it really leaves Palob with an edge if he is unanswered. Ideally the TLT works better over the Blaster Turret to keep them at range 3 if possible while still threatening damage (and crits with Greedo) and if they move in for the kill on Palob (or Bossk), I can start stealing tokens.

I felt that the TLT did very consistent damage at range 3, half of which each turn were flipped face up. It may not look amazing on paper, but practically it worked out well. Palob actually didn't get to steal a single token that game, so the Blaster Turret would have been ineffective. I also stuck to a lot of the strong white maneuvers to keep my speed up to try and match my opponent's turrets that were skirting around at range 3 most of the match. K4 may not have helped as much if I'm trying to get somewhere fast. If anything, he provides a good bodyguard to Bossk I guess.

Perhaps I'll drop VI, Greedo, and Suhlak for two Z-95s. It would fly different but could be more effective. I am also considering a Cartel Marauder with Glitterstim.
