Barrel rolling bombing Y-wing?

By TwizztheHunter, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Horton +BB-8, TLT, Bomb Load-out, Proton Bomb, Extra munitions 40pts

Been mulling this over, not sure if its viable. just sounds fun.

BB-8's Text says after you reveal a green maneuver you may perform a free barrel roll action, so can you barrel roll then drop the bomb then move? or drop the bomb, barrel roll then move or both?

or should I say either?

VERY expensive for a ship with no added survivability.

The problem with bb-8 on Ys is the lack of green maneuvers. A y-wing has, what, 2 green maneuvers? And both of them straight. Without a droid to give them more green, your hardly ever going to trigger BB,-8 and since BB is already in the droid socket....

Seismic says "when you reveal your maneuver" does that take timing precedence over BB-8 "after you reveal your maneuver"?

Yes.
One happens at the revelation of your dial, while the other happens afterwards.

So it seems that the first scenario that Twizz posted above doesn't work.

No that's fine - if a ship has two abilities that resolve at the same time, the player can resolve them in any order he chooses.

Actually, BB-8 reads "when" as well, so Funkleton's reply is correct:

Not nearly as bad as the derp I made recently - I read the card text from a squad builder rather than the card itself - and came to the conclusion that BB-8's barrel roll wasn't even an Action.
