Nowhere to Hide - Connor Net + Advanced Slam

By bmf, in X-Wing

Still looking for more conner lists

The main one I've run is

Warden (conner, muni, into agent, a-slam, autoblaster turret)

3 BSPs

Int agent + SLAM and/or brolls are just too troll :P

The above k is a dedicated soontir killer (dubbed the "S.S **** Your Green Dice) But it is also a surprisingly potent late game ship. Int agent SLAM leads to some excessive arc dodging and autoblaster can put out some surprising hurt

Obviously not great against large ships (need bsps for those) but small ships short of Miranda/corran are surprisingly viable targets to tackle in the late game.

Limitee numbers of Basic jousters such as academies or bandits are easy prey for the j, if flown well

Hopefully this wasn't posted before. I was curious of all the positions a K-Wing with Advanced Slam could drop a Connor Net so I decided to load up Vassal and test it. Before I went through this exercise my feeling was that it could get you almost anywhere within Range 3 and it's firing arc.

Here are the results:

So this is all the positions a K-Wing could drop a Connor, including all the non-SLAM positions. Any ship within firing arc, range 3 and facing the K-Wing can most likely be Connor netted or at least fly through the net after their maneuver. The K can also get you anywhere within range 2 180 degrees in front of it. Pretty scary stuff, especially for ships like Soontir or Vader. Arc dodgers would do well to stay behind the K-Wing at all cost. A Warden with Advanced Slam and Connor Net supported by some heavy hitters to capitalize should be a fun and viable squad.

I found this via another thread and this really helped me visualize how to approach mine dropping k-wings with adv slam.

Does someone have similar picture but with cluster mines? That would be much appreciated!

Yes, I'm drinking the coolaid....the ugliest ship is the best; just behind the Jumpmaster.

it looks like a flower, sorta

we'll dub it the Death Blossom :)

Think you owe The Last Starfighter some money for that one. ;)
