Is there a viable Epic Rebel list that has both the GR75 and the CR90 in it?

Hello guys, I recently got around to finally acquiring all of the Huge ships over the weekend at a local gaming convention and I'm hoping to run a list that would both allow me to play with all my new toys and also not be terrible. I'm not looking to win world championships or anything... just something that isn't an auto-lose if you know what I mean.

After some playing with lists on Squad Builder, I've come up with this:

CR90 Corvette (Fore) — CR90 Corvette (Fore) 50
Han Solo 2
Quad Laser Cannons 6
Single Turbolasers 8
Engineering Team 4
Sensor Team 4
Backup Shield Generator 3
Jaina's Light 2
Ship Total: 79
CR90 Corvette (Aft) — CR90 Corvette (Aft) 40
Weapons Engineer 3
Single Turbolasers 8
Tibanna Gas Supplies 4
Ship Total: 55
GR-75 Medium Transport — GR-75 Medium Transport 30
WED-15 Repair Droid 2
Shield Projector 4
Tibanna Gas Supplies 4
Backup Shield Generator 3
Combat Retrofit 10
Bright Hope 5
Ship Total: 58
Etahn A'baht — E-Wing 32
R2-D2 4
Ship Total: 36
Tarn Mison — X-Wing 23
R7 Astromech 2
Ship Total: 25
Red Squadron Pilot — X-Wing 23
Ship Total: 23
Red Squadron Pilot — X-Wing 23
Ship Total: 23

The CR90 is built to take on Raiders or any other big, low agility ship, while the rest of the fleet goes after the other fighters. The GR75 is geared to be as tanky as possible and with the Shield Projector, acts as sort of a "super Biggs" and can hopefully redirect fire meant for Etahn, who flies in formation with the the other 3 X-wings so that they all have his buff.

My worry for this list however is the tiny amount of fighters I'm fielding. I will feel a lot more comfortable if I can squeeze even two Tala Squadron fighters (without removing my current fighters) into the list but I am really not sure what to cut.

Or am I crazy and need to come up with something else from scratch, or scrap the idea of running both huge ships in a single 300 point list?

I think you're right to worry about the small number of fighters, especially given the points you're spending on the transport and Etahn. Etahn can be awesome in epic...if he's the ONLY named pilot, modifying the crazy number of shots being taken by all your faceless guys. Also, it looks like you're hoping to soak damage for the CR90 with the transport, which I've not had much luck with. Epic boards feel like they're a lot more than just twice as big as Standard boards, especially in terms of how much room your opponent will have to maneuver around your attempts to block his shots. Again, I think you need more fighters - they're the best support for your CR90 and Red Squadron Pilots are a great choice. If you're really attached to your Transport, try a leaner and more dedicated build. Our own DraconPyrothayan turned me onto a Transport build that's cheap and makes the thing a legitimate weapon: engine booster, Bright Hope, and backup shield generator. Accept that the thing is gonna die and charge in to try to squish as many bad guys as you can before it does. It'll piss your opponent off so he'll shoot the transport instead of your CR90. Also, if at all possible, try to work Roark Garnet in his crappy HWK into your list - your CR90 shooting at PS12 is no joke.

Just my perspective.

Thanks for the suggestion! Using your GR75 setup, and downgrading the fighters, I was able to fit in 2 Bandit Squadrons in. Now the downside is that my generic fighters aren't PS4, but I guess that's the price of having both huge ships in a single list.

Hey, I ran both in a game recently and it seemed to be working pretty well (we had a 4' table and had to stop early, so the engagement didn't really come to a head).

On the CR90 I had the Tantive IV title, Han Solo, Dash Rendar, a Weapons Engineer, a Sensor Team, one Single Turbolaser on both the fore and the aft, and possibly one or two other cargo/teams. On the GR75, I had the EM Emitter, Toryn Farr, and Jan Dodonna, and a couple other things. The idea was that the CR90 would run parallel to my table edge with the GR75 screening.

This gave the CR90 3 defense dice, and the GR75 plowing through most of the range 1-2 bubble on its guns. Further, between Han Solo, Weapons Engineer, the Single Turbolaser's natural focus conversion, the sensor team, and Jan Dodonna, the CR90's guns performed well.

With these two I had Roark with a Twin Laser Turret hanging out in the space between the GR75 and the CR90 (getting the setup and opening moves to pull this off took a bit of practice). Then the rest of the squad was nameless pilots. I think I had 2 A Wings, 2 X Wings, and 2 Z 95s.

I would love to have finished the game I started to see how well it did long term, and it was fun once it was setup in formation!
