You could use an Average Knowledge (Warfare) check to assess your surroundings and determine what just happened.

Some surveillance around the doors, yes. But nothing major.

Two - I'm sorry the focus is on just one group. That said if you open a comms channel the others can provide input and speak, if not perform actions, which should give them something to do until I pick up their thread shortly. As it stands they are heading towards the VIP lounge now.
