I thought the light troopers rolled the Despair? --> Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't something bad happen to the enemy NPCs instead of a character?

I always thought the rules were as follows:

Character rolls a Despair --> Something bad happens to the character, the GM decides what happens

Enemy NPC rolls a Despair --> Something bad happens to the NPCs, the players + the GM decide what happens.

Or is the dropped Lightsaber something good for us? Could be possible. In that case, please forgive me.

Edit: I just realised that on the one hand the troopers didn't hit Vohr at all (net result: 1 failure - no damage) but on the other hand they scored a critical hit? Could be possible, maybe Vohr sliped while deflecting the bolts and hit his head (he propably overlooked the "Caution! Wet floor"-sign left by the cleaning droids... ).

Oh yes. That was the Triumph I spent to drop the lightsaber. Despair went on them running out of ammo

Just for your information:

I won't be able to post on Saturday, because I'm going on a vacation.

Once I've reached my destination, I should be able to post again. Apparently there's Wlan at the house we rented (or "Wireless DSL" as they put it...) and I'm going to take my laptop with me.

Well I have the joy of not being able to do the weekend (again). Many apologies, of course, but it's the last reenactment of the season and it's a major one so I'm unlikely to post IC. If we get Revanchist7's turn before Friday evening I can move us on to a new turn.

It doesn't greatly matter since the last shot missed Ashrym (so I am definitely not requesting a re-roll), but his armor gives him 1 Defense, which I think adds a setback die to attacks versus him. But, I wanted to mention it for the next time someone tries to shoot me down.

I think I already went this round.

Sorry, I was thinking of Allenowen! I think my confusion was over Firan from one of the other games. Too many grizzled, hard-bitten mercs!

Yes, sorry, I may have been reading two lines of the rulebook at the same time. I meant that it improved the dice of whoever makes the next dice roll. Yes you can re-roll (unless you're happy with the result)
