T-70 article up on main page
Yawn
indeed
was hoping for some solo expac announcement/spoilers ![]()
but it's understandable. core set articles are there to help get the new players set; they're not really for us grizzled old bastards
Not much, not very interesting, definitly aimed at the new player crowd. I can't wait for an article that focusses on competetive play and how the core affects it, maybe with some more example squad that combine old and new. Meh.
That is unfortunate. I guess they aren't announcing new expacks then?
It's nice, but I would have preferred confirmation of a T-70 booster pack.
Edit: ninjaed
Edited by headache62I'm thinking we'll see the expansions after wave 8, after the movies had time to breath and they can release more named pilots to fill out the new packs.

not now != not ever

You're not implying we're scruffy-looking too?

Weapons Guidance is not a good idea on Poe Dameron, LoL. He wants to keep his focus token to keep using his pilot ability, and since he fires before most other ships being a pilot skill of 8, he won't have his focus token for defense if he spends it on his attack with Weapons Guidance. C'mon, FFG

This.
Last time they over-released new information, everyone (myself included) complained that the new information was killing the excitement of the already-announced-but-not-released Wave. Let Wave 8 hit, then we can talk about the other new goodies, and give them the same amount of over-exhuberant fanboy attention they deserve.
I must admit I am disappointed based on what Peterson said at GenCon a new starter pack that is almost identical to plug a new movie is pretty limp

But it gives you the flexibility to change the blank to a [boom], and that's what you need for the killing shot, I'd say it's a good option. It makes for a flexible response.

Don't expect much from FFGs examples. Be happy when they at least are rule legal.

Well, in an intro article they wouldn't want to use builds that include Lone Wolf or Push the Limit that require purchasing another expansion. I think with this they're trying to show what you can do with this set only.

I know they are. They always do this. It's still silly.

we may be bastards, but we are not nerf herders
There's still two other SKU's. We'll see them eventually.

Yeah eventually. But you'd think if they were going to be simultaneous release they'd get an announcement like, now.
It's a bit deflating.

With the new maneuverability of the x-wing, there will often be times that you can fire without taking return shots. For those turns, it's an insurance policy. Plus, the rebels have a million token sharing methods. I can get Poe a token when he needs it. That's not an issue.

I like it well enough. If you have a focus and a blank, this allows you to get 2 hits out of 1 focus token. That's not too shabby.
Cute, they're still trying to push Proton Torpedoes.

Almost identical? The ships have different stats, different dials and different actions, effectively they're completely different ships. The upgrades we haven't all seen yet, but from what we've seen we know they're going to be very different.
Edited by mazz0If I understand the Tallon Roll correct, to be able to perform the manuvre, you must have room to fit the side of the base, flush with the template, before you are allowerd to nudge the ship forward along its side? So the manuvre fails if the is an obstacle or another ship blocking that start position right?
