How many of you guys are getting the new goodies now that most of us got paid, first of the month and what not?

I just need a few more ships; which I will get next month, and I am good, I think.

3 punishers, 4 khirazx, 3 K-wings and a hounds tooth.

I'm not a huge fan of the punishers and k-wings, but the khirazx is a ship that in my opinion scum needed. The hounds tooth is butt ugly and I love it. I am a lot more excited for the Gozanti than any of these. I know I am by no means alone.

The hilarious thing is that due to post office/ordering times I actually got my wave 7 a day after my raider. Good week.

I have on;y got 2 of the 4 wave 7 ships so for but My Raider showed up today! (shame it's not allowed to equip any of those titles)

Now to list the surplus X1 and ATC's on ebay!

I seriously believe it'll go down under-appreciated in the history of X-wing, all because people can't look past the ugly ducking side of the K and Punisher , but hot **** finally we get a counterpoint to the dismal, dark ages of Wave 5

The Punisher generics are eh, but its two named aces completely change the game when it comes to bombs and ordnance. Couldn't be happier with them

The K-wing, the magnificent and magnificently silly Drunken Albatross, is my favorite ship in the game. Just plopping it down on the table on an unsteady 3-peg leg (in order to avoid massive wing clipping) makes just the mere sight of it enjoyable, never-mind the manuevering decisions involved in SLAM and especially in laying bombs/mines.

They also were the harbingers of TLTs and conner nets, the twin silver bullets to the stagnant and mind numbing 2-ship meta

This reminded me of watching an inverted Santa Clause. With the glasses on, you looked like a young Santa, but then you were the one getting the gifts instead of giving them! And you can't deny just how jolly you were.

You know, now that I see your face, I'm pretty sure my brother and I were sitting in the row in front of you at Star Wars Celebration VII during the FFG panel. How fun!

I will say in terms of meta and the options wave 7 gave us, I have to agree with ficklegreendice that yeah, wave7 has saved us.

In retrospect the K-wing had to happen, the rebels quickly running out of ships. As waves go on they have to have the T-wing and Nova Courier (yay, another large base PWT) and even the H wing - just because (EPVII nonwithstanding) they'll run out way before Empire will.

But ****, there were better options than the Punisher. There just were. Even the Adv Bomber from galactic battlegrounds, with only one extra ordnance pod over the bomber had a decent aesthetic.

I am desperately trying to like it I really am. But it's so, so..... bleh.

Granted, I'm a bit more excited about Wave 8 because of who is in it (4-LOM, Zuckuss, and Dengar, yipee. The Ghost, woohoo), I'm still loving the models of Wave 7. The Punisher and K-wing have no right to look that good.

FFG modeling wizardy strikes again

Wave 8's going to be fun too, though only the Ghost has the potential absurdity to match the K-wing. I will say, though, that I'm really amazed at FFG for releasing back-to-back PWTs that I am not only excited for but actually want to own 2 of (granted, they're less PWTs and more bomber & torp-boat respectively, but still!)

The Ghost doesn't have a primary weapon turret.

I am annoyed that the Ghost definitely won't fit my current storage solution. So, off to be on display with the Epics, then.

Dont have wave 7 stuff yet, but I just played against a Punisher. It was pretty dang fun to play against. Very different from other ships.

I'm really looking forward to Wave 8 as well. The Mist Hunter and the JM5K look absolutely amazing, and Cloaking Device is going to be such good fun with any number of Scum ships (...75% of the time, I know...)

Really happy with the Kihraxz - and look at those upgrades! Crackshot, Lightning Reflexes, Predator and Glitterstim... that's a really sweet set of cards

if the K-wing is the drunken albatross, the jumpmaster is the Pogostick or the Toilet Seat

but what looks very, very stupid has already proven to be both amazing looking and amazing fun (re: wave 7 )

In my video I call it stupid, but that is a tip of the hat in my Boss-way of joking on the haters. I love the K-Wing!

I mean it is a cool WWII Bomber in space... right on FFG!

Aesthetically it's funky and unique looking. I used to hate how the Punisher looked but it grew on me. K-Wing looks cool, Kirahxz looks cool but the color scheme is terribad so I'm paying a friend to paint them Black Sun. Hound's Tooth is goofy looking but it has a pleasant color scheme.

Gameplay wise it's fun. TLT meta, viable ordnance boats, running 4 Prox Mines, 4 Cluster Mine sets, and 4 Conner Nets at the same time. But mainly the TLT meta, that's the best part.

Deathrain is by far my favorite Imperial ship!

Ha, ha! I use it for shopping, taking laundry to the laundry room in my apartment, and when I get large orders I use it to bring the big boxes up to my room. I live on the eight floor of an eleven story building. A lot of people in the building have a shopping cart or folding cart... kinda funny.

Our LGS had their annual 10% sale this weekend... I resisted getting too much and ended up with 1 Khiraxz, Punisher, and Hound's Tooth.

Khiraxz looks amazing.

I'm thinking about repainting the Hound's Tooth to Moralo soon but it might just be... too much pink...
