Edge of Darkness OOC

By ColonelCommissar, in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG

Tookur settles into his seat, and produces a datapad seemingly from nowhere before opening up TopSpeeder magazine.

"Some say that he's Darth Vader's genius cousin, and was given prototype Stormtrooper armor after killing 76 Jedi traitors with nothing but his 75-Z, faulty brakes, and a spatula. All we know is that he's called THE STIG!"

Ranged Heavy shot at Medium Range: 2eA+2eP+1eB+1eD+1eC 0 successes, 5 advantage

Toco snaps off a series of blasts into the closest group of Stormies.
"Well, Kark."
Scanning the area he chastises himself.
"Calm down. It is the hits that matter, not volume of fire."
I would like Toco's shots to distract the enemies enough that it gives a 1 Boost to any character (2 Advantages) and another 1 Boost to any character (2 advantages) and he notices one important thing about the battlefield (1 advantage).

That's some mighty fine dice rolling. Maybe we can get some more advantages.

Also, I think Toco also realizes that him putting so much fire down will force the stormtroopers into cover. That should give the teams on the ground enough time to get out of the kill box.

Also, I'm calling Rax the nickname "Hotdog" from now on.

Those advantages; so many, so not hitting. :D

BTW, whenever I generate Boosts for the party, just use them as needed.

If any are left over when I go again, I'll just use them.

Hey Colonel. I mentioned this before but will again. The mobile version of the site (which is where I'm posting from during work hours ) does not have the fancy editor that allows you to color the text. :( Unless I'm missing something. ...

If there an alternate "mobile" format you'd like me to use?

Oh yeah I have the same problem. If you put it in squared brackets it'd probably be fine though.

Oh! Can I use another of Tear's boosts? I only accounted for the one from Sarone, and I think 1 more damage might make it an even three.

You can make that roll. I'm feeling nice

My apologies for disappearing for a while, the lull during the weekend let me get distracted with school work, and then the week started and I was suddenly swamped.

I'm a bit fuzzy on our current position in the initative, but the next slot we have I'd like for Issan to try and clear all the crap out of our comms. Basically get everyone to shut up so we can actually coordinate here.

Didn't do much, but thanks for being nice.

Worries about what it usually means with the GM is nice to their players...

Edit: iSpy! Glad you're back, man. Short version is, we got to the area, set up, then found out WE had been set up and walked right into an ambush. Probably Rax's fault for tempting fate by uttering the world "blue milk run."

Oh please. You were tempting fate. You had it coming.

Just curious, what is the Destiny pool at? I think it is currently at 5 Light/2 Dark since you had used a destiny point to make the difficulty higher for Toco's attack.

So I did. I have a horrible feeling I changed the wrong Destiny pool...

Just curious, how many groups of stormtroopers are there? How many rebel operatives that started out? How many are still standing?

Also, does any one get the feeling the lack of AA weapons on our part mean that the rebels are about to get strafed by TIEs?

Groups overall or groups in the firefight with you? The rest of that is classified on a GM-only basis but I can say that even the Empire isn't stupid enough to use something as imprecise and dangerous as an air strike when their own troops are in such close proximity to an enemy, or in what's still technically a civilian area.

It is a NPC slot now, right?

Toco, Oro and Rax shooting and Geoff offering aid. for the 4 PC slots.

The groups that we can interact directly. As of your last post, two stormtroopers are down and two more are injured. How many stormtroopers are left?

As for the rebels, I'm going for the angle of how many that is with our range that we can help?

Ok, initiative was PC, PC, PC, PC, NPC, PC, NPC, NPC, NPC, PC.

Toco shot first, which gave quite a bit of boost die to us.

I (Geoff) aided Rax (Hotdog), giving him a boost die.

Oro fired at the stormtroopers.

Rax fired and took quite a few stormtroopers down.

Shouldn't an NPC/NPC Group moved before CT's action?

CT fired at stormtroopers.

That leaves three NPC/NPC Groups and then Issan's action.

Can we get the NPCs out of the way first before Issan takes his action?

Updated my post.

You're facing four minion groups of three (so twelve, although two are dead) - one to the left of the transport, two in front of it and one to the right. Zavvel's troops in the courtyard next to you are holding out in the doorway against the Imperials but they're becoming more outnumbered with every moment. They have a speeder loaded up with supplies which they're having trouble moving because of the incoming fire blocking up the gates facing each other.

Yikes, looks like Toco took a bit of a hit. Going to hold action so our Doc has a chance to get upstairs and give some medical aid.

i suggest someone flip a Destiny point for a "Back Door" for this house. We need an exit.

Is that a request for me or a suggestion for the others?

It was a global suggestion. ;)

But if I can use it out of turn, I would like to use it to have had the team find a back door on the ground floor as we were securing the place before the "ambush"

Is may previous suggestion for Issan's action possible (barking at the comms to try and better coordinate the rebels)? Or, should I have Issan just pop off a few rounds and end up missing?

That is certainly possible. But do you want to go missing? Do you want to drop out of the game for a bit?

Nah, I'm here, let's do it.
