I'm getting notifications now, but for a while there I got nothing.
Edge of Darkness OOC
Regarding the Knowledge roll, you recognise the logo to be that of Black Sun. The advantage means that you notice that several of the men on the ground have facial tattoos belonging to notorious human supremacist groups, no doubt an unpopular accessory to Black Sun's Falleen coordinators.
Regarding the gear:
Eight sets of personal body armour
One set of heavy armour
Four blaster pistols
Four blaster rifles
One disruptor pistol
Nine handheld comlinks
This is to see if N97 recognizes the patch they were as well.:
Know-Underworld - badge on valley combatants: 4eA+1eD 3 successes, 3 advantage

You recognise the symbol. In addition, you see that their gear is of a pattern not generally issued to Black Sun's 'standard' infantry.
Knowledge warfare check to find a good position, I used simple since it is a basic training type action, but also rolled an extra difficulty in case it is harder.
Know-Warfare: 4eA+1eD 2 successes, 2 advantage

Extra difficulty
Know-Warfare extra difficulty: 1eD 0 successes, 2 threat

I'd say you don't need to roll; it's easier to find a position narratively.
I was just trying to make it easier on you/save a step in case it became important.

Ah, that makes a lot of sense, thanks. To be fair, had it been necessary it would have been very useful
I just noticed that the campaign slowed a bit. How is everything going?
We have moved up in the world, so to speak. This game has come to an end, but we, the remaining players, are playing in CC's new game as the bridge crew of Home One, during the FA era.

That's good too hear. Too bad about the campaign ending, but it still had an amazing run.
Where is the link to that campaign, if I may ask?

At this point, things have just gotten very interesting...
Here's a link. The game just started, and we have just witnessed the destruction of the Hosnian system.

I'm having visions of BSG.
Please tell me you have some old X-wings/A-wings mothballed in the hangar?
Indeed we do. Some are in space right now...

Are we going for the firefly "interesting" here?

Hot ****. Looks great and I hope it goes good for everyone involved. I might lurk around and spectate for the campaign.
Cool. It's off to a good start, and the premise is very interesting. Both the bridge-crew thing and the time period.
