Edge of Darkness OOC

Ok then that's 1 success and 3 advantages total with the bonus die from Aiming. That should be 7 damage. With 3 advantages I can activate a crit if people want? Otherwise I'm good with spreading the wealth to the next attack.

Aim Bonus: 1eB 1 success, 1 advantage

I'll add the damage. Are you critting or using the Advantage otherwise?

I was going to give the others a moment to weigh in on it to see if they might want the advantage.

I think taking down the main leader is our main goal, or at least crippling him so we can 'discuss' the situation with him. If he is still up adding setback to him or giving boost would likely be best as a single crit doesn't typically change the battle much (unless we get a lucky high roll). Just my vote. N97 will either attack (if he gets a clear enough shot, ie if there are not to many environmental setbacks) or look to set him up for someone else. He has a gun that will ensnare, but is short range.

I believe the most recent shot was targeting one of the Minion groups, unless I misunderstood things. That would make a crit more useful in my opinion.

Doh! Most certainly. Since the holidays and things have been moving slower my memory for events is slipping

Just pick something and go with it. No need for a group decision. A crit can be very useful. If you were targeting the armored dude (I thought you were) that might put him at a disadvantage, depending on your roll, and if you hit a minion group a crit will drop one, so that's good too.

This is also true, you can make a decision without checking it. Since you hit a Minion group, are you going for the auto-kill or another use?

I was targeting the minion group ... take out the small guys first so we can take the big guy alive with focused fire. I'll post my action in a bit with a crit on the minion group.

Sorry about the delay. I wrote the post and then forgot to hit post and didn't realize it till I was checking the forums to see what had happened next :(

Also going for the auto kill or rather ... the auto take down? As I understand the rules depleting them isn't the same as killing and Kixue wants to gather intel from them so he will be aiming to disable the group as opposed to outright kill everyone.

No worries, it's all good. There are now a last two PC actions before the end of the turn: what do you want Oro and Geoff to do?

Ideally reduce the number of minions in the untouched group. Perhaps Oro could throw a grenade?

The doctor could give suppressing fire to give the attackers a setback? Not in the rules, an assist usually gives another character a boost, but is it possible?

If the doc has a grenade I say toss it. Otherwise suppressing fire works too.

Well the rules don't say anything about it, but I suppose it makes sense. A Setback on their next attack? It would only affect one group, so which one:

Armoured hostile

Pistol-armed group (1 remaining)

Rifle-armed group (2 remaining)

Or is that a grenade from each of them?

I think we can mop up the minion groups easily so maybe keeping the armored guy distracted is a good idea.

Alright guys, I'm assuming from the slower posting that holiday stuff is slowing things up. I'm hoping things will pick up in the New Year, especially since I've hardly been encouraging things to move on (which was my fault - I should have been being more punctual, and frankly it was my own failing rather than any excuse I could make). However, the spirit of Rogue One has enlivened me to make more of an effort here, so I'll be looking to speed things up in January. Until then, I hope you all have a good Christmas, and if you have the time then feel free to post.

I am here 100%. Just awaiting my turn. I have been giving silent approval to the recommendations of my fellow rebels.

I'm here as well, looking forward to continuing the game in the new year. Rogue One has also lit a fire here, that's for sure!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Well, while Rogue One hasn't lit a fire under me per se the prospect of a promotion for the young ensign is always motivation enough to continue!!! :):P

Welcome back everyone. The droid is suspended in animation, drops of water have frozen in time as somewhere in the distant future in a galaxy far far away groups of families share gifts and egg nog together.

Then with a sudden rush, the noise of battle returns, the cold rain falls and the confusion of battle batters the senses.

Indeed, I'm back too. Unless there are any objections, I was going to take an aggregate of the earlier suggestions for NPC actions and have Oro suppress the armoured man while Geoff throws a grenade at one of the minion groups. I'll get a post up later this evening.

Awesome. Where do we stand in the initiative order? Top of a new turn? Could you please post the order just to keep things clear, CC?

Indeed, it's a new turn. Initiative order:

NPC

PC <-- We are here

NPC

PC

PC

PC

I think our best shot should go first. I'm pretty sure that is not me.

I guess Liaka is pretty good, mostly thanks to a certain droid pimping up her previously modest blaster pistol... She hit the leader again, giving him another critical hit in the process.
