Edge of Darkness OOC

By ColonelCommissar, in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG

Sorry, forgot the armoured guy's defence. No Boost on the next PC, he does at least skedaddle out of there.

Forgot to mention his Defence!: 1eS 0 successes, 1 threat

Now for two PC actions. The first has a Setback. And while you're at it, CHECK OUT THOSE SETBACKS!! BOW BEFORE THE LORD OF OROKOS!!!

Yeah, disruptor you say. Heh. If that guy targets Liaka again let's just assume I'll flip a DP to upgrade his attack, assuming we have any DP left

So three setback, plus a bonus setback, and medium range?

I have a Destiny tracker in my sig; you have all but one of the points in your favour

So three setback, plus a bonus setback, and medium range?

Correct.

I'll act for the two (N)PCs, what do you want them to do?

Not certain, having trouble seeing map in my head. Sounds like most are medium now? Perhaps we can wait until the first set of grenades go off then act, since our plan is working (the second set went off, now that the first set are primed they should be retreated right into the trap).

If the trap is working I'm down for letting it continue to do it's job before we attempt to finish them off and collect any survivors.

All the enemies are at medium, clustered around the downed speeder. Where did you put the second set of grenades? If it was at Medium from your ambush position then I can have them go off.

Yup, they passed them coming toward us from the shuttle, came upon the closest set (boom), and on retreat should run into the first set.

Duly noted. There's no roll for you guys, but they get a chance to evade through a Hard Perception check.

Perception check: 3eA+3eD 2 successes, 1 threat
a-s-s.pnga-a.pnga-a.pngd-th.pngd-th-th.pngd--.png

Perception check: 2eA+3eD 1 success, 2 threat
a-s.pnga-s.pngd-f-th.pngd--.pngd-th.png

Perception check: 2eA+3eD 3 failures, 1 advantage
a--.pnga-a.pngd-f-f.pngd--.pngd-f.png

So one group takes 16 damage, but the others evade the explosion. Two down from the rifle-armed group, so there are now two remaining in each group. You get a Boost against each of the groups who evaded, as dodging put them in a much worse position than they were in.

I believe there's one more PC round to go.

If we have a PC slot up next the N97 should go since he has the rifle. What range are the baddies at again?

He already went, giving covering fire for a boost to your attack.

All enemies are at Medium range at this point. You could also ask me to have one of the (N)PCs act.

So we should have Private Longray throw a grenade (using strong arm talent for medium range) or have Ensign Oro fire his rifle. The doctor could also lay covering fire later for another boost (or just hide)

Oro Logray is one character, Kixue Noman is the ensign. Which one did you mean? If you guys want to talk tactics going forward that might be good; I'll allow a level of telepathic communication between PCs :P

Sorry, meant to say Ensign Noman. These two and the doctor have not acted this round.

Ah, that makes sense. My bad!

So what's the plan?

I can take my action now if that's good. I can use the boost die from the cover fire. Are we good on that or did we want to do something else?

That would seem to be the full set. Don't forget the Setbacks, though the light from the burning speeder reduces it to SS

So two set back dice right?

So two set back dice right?

Yes (and the two Difficulty for Medium range)

Looks like I fire but don't hit anyone. So maybe the advantage can be passed onto someone else who can maybe make a shot?

Attack Roll: 2eA+1eP+2eD+1eB+2eS 0 successes, 2 advantage

Did you use your aiming maneuver and the boost from N97? Might push you over the edge.

Did you use your aiming maneuver and the boost from N97? Might push you over the edge.

I forgot the boost from aiming but I'm pretty sure the other boost I was using was from N97. How many boost are flooting about, before I roll to add it in?

Just the one as far as I'm aware. You can use that Advantage to boost the next attacker (after an NPC action first).

Ok then that's 1 success and 3 advantages total with the bonus die from Aiming. That should be 7 damage. With 3 advantages I can activate a crit if people want? Otherwise I'm good with spreading the wealth to the next attack.

Aim Bonus: 1eB 1 success, 1 advantage
