Do you want us to post what we are grabbing IC before you determine the length of time? So let's recount, I'll grab a rifle, the rations, and the climbing gear. When I get the go ahead I'll post my action. Also we have a bag or backpack for the gear right?

You can use Field Commander, it seems like a good use of it in fact.

Did anybody think to requisition one? ![]()
You could flip a DP to have a container of some sort to hand. The carbines have slings and the grenades are in a case, if that simplifies anything.
I don't want to get too administrative, but I would say that taking one item and stowing it would cost one maneuver. However unless this gets really awkward I doubt that will come up, and you may want to start working on the next phase of plan 'run away very fast'.
OK, let's try the Field Commander check to get the troops organized. Boost is for the Command talent.
So, I've put up Liaka's bossy post. Since three people get a free maneuver for one strain I'll give that to the organics, who are busy getting the gear. The droid has other priorities.
Shall I assume the single threat I rolled gives Liaka a single strain to match the people she is trying to boss around?
Yes, you take one strain due to the combined shock of the crash and your sudden need to bug out without really having time to recover.
Just so you know I'm letting you guys take the lead at the moment, but I'd like it if someone could respond sooner rather than later.
Jupp. Just wanted to give Sarone time to post for the doc before heading out into the wilderness.
Approximately how many hours of daylight do we have once we have cleared the wreck of our speeder?
Kymrel, feel free to narrate the droids movements/following as needed, he will be familiar to standard military field maneuvers and travel due to experience. I don't want to over-post IC so feel free to have him follow along as a typical Star Wars droid: he follows directions well. (Although I thought an ambush would be a good idea
) Particularly since he has a history with Lt. Atala
You've got maybe six hours of daylight left, but what you're in at the moment is probably twilight at best due to the weight of the storm.
See I dnd't forget that the Butler need something stronger than a goo gun!!!
Mechanics to set a grenade 1: 2eD+1eA+3eP+1eB 4 successes
Mechanics to set a grenade 2: 2eD+1eA+3eP+1eB 4 successes, 3 advantage
Mechanics to set a grenade 3: 2eD+1eA+3eP+1eB 0 successes, 1 advantage
A dud, will save it to repair it later
Mechanics to set a grenade 4: 2eD+1eA+3eP+1eB 2 successes
Mechanics to set a grenade 5: 2eD+1eA+3eP+1eB 5 successes
It looks like the boards can only handle so much code.
Edited by dtdunnWell the results posted at least. Now if you'll excuse me I need to work out the cumulative explosive power of five frakking grenades... (frags right?)
Anyone else want to act? And where are you going?
I think that 2 diff mechanics is used to set explosives, but I tried to pass them to those with most likely to be able to place them in a hidden way (stealth score, or at least agility). I am hoping that we can 'box them in' with the 2 sets of grenades as N97 explained earlier to maximize damage. He will use the advantage on the failed one to recognize it is a dud and hang onto it to fix it later. Perhaps the advantage on the other one can be used to add boost to placement
Making a stealth check to see if I can move unoticed down the trail, with ... predictable results ![]()
You can use Stealth or Mechanics, or another skill (make me a compelling argument) to place the explosives. If you could get the rolls in soon we can move the narrative on ASAP.
Kael, you see that what you took to be a trail is really more of an animal run through the undergrowth, and can see that there are no visibly humanoid prints in it.
Que eery music . . .
Hey everyone,
My condolences on the lack of updates on my end. Life, both educational and personal, has decided it isn't done with me just yet. As such, I'm going to be on Hiatus for a while (about six weeks) in order to get these problems taken care of. Hopefully once this is done I can comeback and be a better and more dedicated player.
As such, hopefully CC will keep Doc Hanson around for the healing he can provide, as the group can easily use a healer.
I will be dropping by from time to time (probably once a week or so), but otherwise my presence from here on will be extremely limited.
Good luck and Godspeed, everyone.
Sarone
So we need rolls from Kixue and Liaka to move things along? (to place explosives 'stealthily or 'skuldugger-ily')
So we need rolls from Kixue and Liaka to move things along? (to place explosives 'stealthily or 'skuldugger-ily')
I wasn't aware that I was placing explosives. I have made a roll already to be stealthy (failed it).
Sorry, should have been 'modified grenades or just grenades'
N97 handed the grenades to those best able to place them for the ambush. I think this is what ColonelCommissar is referring to in his last post, sorry for confusion
Edited by dtdunnOoooooh ok, I missed that. I'll make that roll now.
Perhaps with that advantage you could say that N97 notices the placement isn't as hidden/ideal as you thought it was? Then the droid could make a suggestion for better placement (so he could roll). He is a helpful kind of droid as you know.
Wait, what? I have a check to make? I thought Liaka was providing assistance to your check. Well. What do I need to roll?
I had assumed hiding the grenades in the best spot for an ambush would be a stealth, or perhaps skulduggery check, so N97 readied them for exploding (mechanics checks), then handed them to the characters better able to place them (skill wise). ColonelCommissar stated stealth or mechanics would work for his in his post. But I should have mentioned adding assistance to the rolls or even a combined check.
Kymrel, at this point it might be better to have Lt. Atala direct the droid aid in the placement (or she aid him in placing them) so we have a better chance at good placement. I didn't mean to cause a slow down, I just noted the heavy military weapons our foes had and thought a few grenades would thin their number.
I also assumed this would be the eventual location for the rebel base so we will need to confront them at some point.
Given the confusion here it may be that we can rule out actually rolling to place the grenades, in favour of narratively installing them and moving on. What is your next plan of action?
