What is the skill check for the weather? Geoff really doesn't want to be at the mercy of the elements.

There's an Average (DD) Survival check to assess the likely weather conditions for the next hour or so; Easy for the next few minutes and Hard to get a reading on the next day. The weather will impose Setbacks as time goes on, but there's no immediate need to undertake a skill check.

You could alternately give yourself a Boost to your next Piloting check if nobody claims it, as Liaka assesses how the weather is likely to affect her flight patterns. However, Liaka is tempted to believe that this is no more than a passing shower.

While you're free to carry on with the RP, you also need to do some rolling to get the speeder into position - a minor challenge usually, but exacerbated by the conditions - and to configure your sensors to chart the area you need readings on.

Liaka needs to make an Easy Piloting check, but with two Setback as the wind gusts around the craft, and visibility drops lower and lower. Furthermore, I'm flipping a DP as a hard wind comes gusting down the valley, making the check CSS.

There also needs to be a Hard Computers check to work the sensors, also with two Setback due to the distortion caused by the rain and by the increasing level of electromagnetism in the air. I'm flipping a DP here too, making the pool CDDSS.

Can the advantage will be that there is a wrecked old (<50 years or so) ship in the valley near where we land? N97 is looking for scrap to add to his crafting supplies! And then one boost to the next player.

There isn't a ship in the valley, but I'll make a note of that for later. Your success picks up a cave with a broad but well-hidden mouth, that's cut into a cleft that makes it hard to spot from a distance. It also picks up the group of figures figures in the valley below, or at least the rough area from which they are firing.

Actually the boost Liaka rolled came from Kiuxe helping, as he had offered to do.

So Liaka is slow to react since she's doing her free maneuver I guess ;)

N97 is able to see the group on the ground with the scanners and is able to react slightly quicker because of it. (will use 1 adv. from computers check)

Who is good at gunnery? N97 has 3 green for gunnery.

Co-pilot (if piloting checks are going to be needed, 2 diff piloting check), Plot Course (lower set back to piloting checks, 2 diff astrogation or 3 diff perception), Boost shields (3 diff Mechanics), Slice Enemy's equipment/comms (3 diff computers), Spoof missiles (if they miss and have guided, 2 diff computers), Distract opponent (opposed discipline), Identify weakness (skulduggery, but diff. is determined by GM), Repair ship (once during encounter, mechanics) or Damage control (lower ship strain, mechanics)

Can always Aim, Assist another or Angle Deflector Shields

The threat has been spent already I'm afraid, as detailed in my post:

Oh, for the record, Liaka has Defensive Driving 1. This gives our vehicle Defense 1 in all zones.

Not sure what to spend my maneuver on. We're not going fast enough for Evasive Maneuvers (can't go fast enough, in fact), so I guess it will just be a fly-maneuver trying to get the heck out of there, trying to get some part of the terrain between us and the attackers.

And I really hope someone is about to man the auto-blaster!

I'm not sure what Kixue could do so I'm open to suggestions. He'd likely be more useful with a blaster once we get out of the speeder but from inside he is only about average on weapons (3 greens). But he will man the repeating blaster if no one else opts to do that. Otherwise he'll assist where he can.

Well, the only one with any gunnery skill is Liaka, and she's rather busy at the moment. So base Agility 3 and no skill is the best alternative. Kiuxe, Oro and our droid all have that, N97 might be better suited to the computer work, leaving either Kiuxe or Oro as our best choice for gunner.
