Running is a good trick.
Edge of Darkness OOC
I get a lot of mileage out of it...
Welp, that means two for running with support team ready to bug out as well.
Next question: Are we going to take out those emplacement teams first or just run?
For now, it will take next turn before Demo team can exfil from the bridge. After that, if the fireworks haven't started yet, we can either go slow or fast.
i say bug out as quickly as possible.
Martial law isnt a thing right? so in the streets there are people there, right? we could try to blend in?
We have an exfiltration spot with Tookur and the Brick.
To be honest, and this is after the fact, I sort of want to get one of those repeating blasters that the emplacements have. It was going to be a Life Day present to Toco since it feels he wants to have the biggest blaster around.
Or have it be installed on The Brick and give it some more teeth.
How is everybody's week? Any one have plans for this week (us Americans have the ironic holiday of Thanksgiving)?
I'm floating about. My finals are fast approaching so you're going to have to specifically prod me when you need Issan for something.
Will do. At this point I think the plan is to get out of dodge ASAP since the charges are about to go boom. Could someone narrate that?

I'll do that after class today.
Actually, could I make a Stealth roll with Rax's dice? And Imperial spy, could I get a Deception roll with Issan's dice?
I want to make this a bit more interesting...
Edited by SaroneI'd prefer it if the players rolled and you explained the plan, but if they don't have time then you can of course do your thing.

I just thought it would be an interesting to see if we can sneak our way pass one of the emplacements and fool/convince the Imperials to let us grab the repeating blaster.
Well without uniforms, proper ID or a requisition request I'd call that a Daunting (DDDD) Deception check with a possible B from a good story.

Not a good idea. Besides, did we even ask if they had one we could install back at the base?
Unless you want Issan to simply distract the guards at a post while someone else grabs the blaster, I don't think that would happen. If for no other reason then Issan wouldn't be thinking about that at the time.
Could we have a final verdict on whether the plan is to run now or to go via a guard post?
I say we should just run now, Issan wants to catch a shot of the bridge going up and if we sneak out before blowing it he won't be able to get a shot/good shot.
I maintain that running is a good trick.
Agreed
Congratulations guys, that's a wrap on Episode 2 - The Morning After! You each gain 10xp, with Geoff and Rax gaining an extra 5xp for their special work at Issan getting an extra 2xp for his footage. You also each get 5 Duty, with Toco gaining an extra 5 for his Sabotage Duty. I'll wait to see what you're all dropping your xp on and then move things on.
Sweet! Grats to those who earned extra XP and Duty!
I've spent 5 XP on the Physical Training talent and updated my character sheet.
Just to add on to my last post, I need to know how Geoff and CeeTee are distributing their Duty between their two values.
Sweet! I bought High G training for 5 XP and Grit for 10XP. Char sheet updated.
Bought Positive Spin for 5 XP (Time to start tooting our own horn!), banking the rest.

I put the extra duty in Resources, since we did get to save two of the Demo Charges.
I'm also going to bank the XP for now. I'm seriously considering whether to use them on skill ranks, talents, or grab a second specialization so that I can grab a few skills/abilities.
Now, whether or not we should turn them in, though...
I've updated the first post of this thread with the Duty chart. I'll address Sarone's questions in the IC thread at the start of the next chapter, but for now I think it's fair for plot reasons to reveal that the signal is going directly to you, and that the other parts will be explained in due time.
