Pass. The only thing you should buy that's twenty-two years old is a finely matured liquor
Edge of Darkness OOC
quite right!!
something gold and old!
Yeah, jewellery also works. Forgot about that!
At this point, I don't think Rax has much more to contribute, so I'm fine with moving along. I already have the droid I'm looking for. (Sorry, couldn't resist.)

Just...don't go there...
Sifting through the computer systems I immediately fix anything that is wrong with the systems. I also keep note of all the technicals of the truck in my personal banks for future reference in case we are in a situation where i need to locate a certain system quick. and i also keep note of all things that could be 'upped' if we are ever in a situation like last night again
Since this is all fairly routine stuff without a time restriction, I shan't impose a check
(For the rocket boosters what page and book are they on so i can put them on my char sheet)
That's a difficult one. I could count it as a jet pack (as per the EotE CRB:181) but given the cost of it (4500 creds) far outstripping what the others are getting in gear I'd have to see if they were ok with it. If not, I could always impose a restriction (say: take x strain per usage as the rockets drain power from your own power core)
Depends what the restrictions are. That being said, I don't have too much of problem with is, as long as it isn't overdone.
I have updated the front page. Everyone is at 0/Full.
@Jaspor: Um, did you forget about the dozen frags we "liberated"? I'm pretty sure you and Toco (and probably Rax) won't be running out of them just yet.

Shall we say that for each maneuver you make with the jetpack you suffer two strain? Is that too harsh?

Not to mention the E-11s you also liberated (for which we're using the EotE rules)

Im OK with that ![]()
Excellent. Let's go with that then
"A jet pack allows a person to dunction as a Sihouette of 1, speed 2, handling 0 System Strain 3 vehicle that can only operate in atmosphere and requires Piloting(planetary) to operate."
Can we agree that the system strain comes from my main pool of strain?
and also, can we possibly agree that i gain a rank in planetary while this is equipped?
Yeah, system strain comes from your main pool. I would say however that it's not like you've had time to learn how to use these so I'm afraid you'll have to wait on the rank in Piloting. That said, I'll make sure that there's a steady enough stream of xp that you can get it soon enough
Yer putting a rank into it will cost me 10xp as its a non career skill. dammit!! lol
no problem.
putting these on puts my Enc to 15/13
can i take an extra piece of equipment to null that out or shall i suffer for a little?
Since they're attached to you I think I'll waive the Encumbrance value, in the same way as if someone was using a tricked-out Clone Trooper helmet I wouldn't make them apply Encumbrance on magnoculars and a comlink. It's built in, so it won't be so difficult to handle.
ok. so i have to ask, all the other systems i have built in, do they take up encumbrance?
Having taken a look, I'd say no. Not to grant unfair advantage, but a lot of those would be integrated into your standard systems. I'd waive Encumbrance unless anyone else wants to object. That being said, you still have Encumbrance on weapons. Otherwise you'd have no Encumbrance at all!
i completly agree with you for the weapons, not a usual intergrated system. so, which things exactly are my waiving?
I'd say, using R2-D2 as a benchmark for a 'bog standard' Astromech, that on the question of what can be waived:
Internal Computer System (Datapad) ENC 1 - Yes, this would be part of your onboard computer
Fusion Cutter ENC 2 - No, it's a weapon
Internal Comm (Handheld comlink) - No, since R2 needs to be specifically given a comlink, or else to use a starfighter's internal comm
Internal Custom Tool Kit [see notes] ENC 5 - Yes, since R2 has since manipulator and one can imagine this could be modded
Internal Slicer Gear ENC 2 - Yes, see above
Emergency Repair Patch x1 - No, it's carried gear
Internal Republic Military storage (Imperial Army Military Pack) ENC +6 Cumbersome 2 - N/A
Enhanced Optics (Electrobinoculars) ENC 1 - Yes, since this is just a mod of a few improved lenses to an already-installed system
Leg mounted Rocket Boosters - Yes, since these are small and inobtrusive (as they appear in Ep 2)
All agreed?
brilliant.
current Enc is 6/13
ok, to clear something else up, can i 'throw' and 'catch' like R2 does? ie, could i store some frags in me and then thrown them to my friends to use? i wouldnt be able to use a frag as i dont have the ability(i dont see myself as having it, maybe in the future it could be a custom skill, but as for now i dont want it)
Well in KOTOR (to further confuse the source material) T3-M4 is able to throw grenades out of the top of his casing, so I don't see why not. Certainly R2 has a manipulator arm which he uses to catch Obi-Wan's comlink in Ep.3. Between these I can't imagine why you couldn't do either of those things
personally i dont like the idea of me being able to throw grenades (i feel enough blame has been put to droids since the Clone Wars). but i do like the idea of being able to throw them to allies.
It's a useful ability to have

It's not so much "throwing" them as you have an internal launcher. While it might need to be reloaded manually (unless you install a grenade launcher into your chasis), it would stand to reason it was designed to be used for objects that a person might want smuggled in.
The best "on screen" example is Episode 6, ewhere R2 has Luke's lightsaber.
The second example is in the X-Wing Series, Solo Command, where one of the pilots modified his R2 unit to have a cold drink dispenser. This was subsequently discovered and used by Wedge in the same book.
I imagine you aren't so much throwing it but launching it. I believe a "launcher system" might be a good idea, here.
I'll agree on a launcher system.
Thus far we've got one person at the briefing. If the rest of you want to wrap up what you've got going on and head down to the command centre then we can get this show on the road.
