Edge of Darkness OOC

By ColonelCommissar, in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG

As it stands, only Geoff, CT, and Tookur are unwounded/undamaged. Rax has 10 wounds, while Toco has 6 and Oro has 4. Issan is last with 1 wound.

I have 1 wound. but of course stimpaks dont work on me.

Are you sure?

CT was hit for 10 damage.

Soak took 4, leaving 6 damage.

CT used two Emergency Repair Patches, repairing 6 damage.

Where did you get the 1 wound from (you didn't get damage from the "Jump")?

I'm just pointing it out on the first page so that new readers can see where we are.

Without further input, I'm going to go ahead and roll the Medicine Checks as written.

Toco's Medicine Check

Medicine Check for Toco: 3eA+1eP+1eB+1eD 1 success, 4 advantage
a-a-a.pnga--.pnga-a.pngp-s-a.pngb-a-a.pngd-th-th.png

That heals one of Toco's wounds right off the bat. With the three advantage, that would be used for strain. However, since all strain was healed, can I convert the three (or four) advantage to healing another wound?

-Or-

Convert all four advantage to two (2) Boost for another heal check? (Due to the fact that he was taken down in combat, I would presume his injuries were a bit more intensive.)

I have to use two posts due to the number of images.

Oro's Medicine Check

Oro's Medicine Check: 3eA+1eP+1eB+1eD 3 successes, 1 advantage
a-a.pnga-a.pnga-s.pngp-s-s.pngb-s.pngd-f-th.png

Nothing unique here. I heal up three of Oro's wounds, leaving him just the one. If we don't do any extensive combat for this "session" then he can heal up from a good night's rest.

...Rax?

...Rax?

I used a stimpack on Rax, healing him five wounds. That puts him below the 50% threshold. Due to him driving us back, I didn't want to distract him.

Plus, it would suck if we needed an expert driver on hand to get us out of dodge.

Oh! I missed that bit, sorry.

You can convert the four advantage into another healed wound

Ok. I'll do another Medicine Check for Toco after we know what is going on.

Also, what is the verdict for the E-11s?

If any of the other players want Geoff to shut up, go right ahead and say it.

For now, Captain Zavvel and Doc Hanson are staring at each other from across the ideological canyon right now.

Also, if I can, should I use Perception or Medicine to see who is injured in Captain Zavvel's team?

Rax has the potential to be a good pilot.

The potential to be a good strategist, however...

Also, sorry for the doublepost, but question regarding how Piloting (planetary) and Piloting(space) works:

Do they apply to specific craft, or where you're piloting a craft at any given moment? For instance, if Rax steals a TIE interceptor and keeps in atmosphere, which skill is he using, and does it change if he climbs out into space?

On the surface, yes, the two skills apply to different craft. Normally, Planetary is stuck to anything on the ground and limited air flight. Space is anything that not only goes into the air but into space.

I like the idea of grabbing some TIEs, but how to grab them and then maintain them that is a problem.

As to not being a strategist, that's for now. Give a few missions of flying support and you'll be giving some valuable input.

well, im sure theres a mechanic that can keep a keen eye on them, and keep them clean, possibly even make then better.
only thing is, we'd need to massively modify the base... what with TIE's having no repulsorlifts...

Most if not all fighters have repulsorlifts. Hence being moved around. Heck, they have showed how the TIEs land in the first season of Rebels.

most standard TIE's dont have repulsorlifts. they need the landing clamp to grab onto them. its a slight design flaw, but the empire wanted a better performance and speed and the repulsor system added weight

Actually, that changed with the new canon:

Although the reason Rax is a bad strategist in this case is that stealing TIEs is an awful, awful idea. Maybe a squint would be OK, or a TIE bomber, but the base craft is meant to be disposable. Rax would have to have a parachute with him, because there's no way he's getting back to base with an intact craft.

That Doctor is interesting

That Doctor is interesting

I can say that as well. It'll be interesting who survived and what gear we have access on hand.

I'm reminded of the scene from Battlestar Galactica (the reimagined series): "When there is such devastation, it is natural to turn around the question of "who died" to "who survived". To focus on the light and to ignore the dark for a little while."

At least, that's how I remember it. I might be wrong, though.

Man, Rax is so ill-prepared to play politics.

wait theres a political battle coming?
lol
CT wont have anything to do with politics!!

Just a warning, but real life has gotten in my way again so my posting over this weekend is likely to be sketchy at best. I'm in London this afternoon/evening and I'm out all day tomorrow so it's unlikely I'll get many posts off. If you want an IC discussion of where to go from here I'd strongly encourage that, and I'll respond ASAP

No one really wants to get into politics. Unfortunately, unless you like being treated like a second class citizen by Captain Zavvel, you might have to dabble a bit in it.

Heck, how else do you see getting some starfighters?

For me, this episode is going to be about trying to gain allies fast and to run damage control on Captain Zavvel.

Does anyone else have input? Imperial Spy, Issan seems to be bit of a politician. Do you want to run point in this episode?

well im a droid, so i practically am already a second class citizen...
