Edge of Darkness OOC

By ColonelCommissar, in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG

That is Rules As Written, but many people play it as needing only one. It is a GM call.

Unfortunately, I didn't roll too great for the Medicine check. Still, I can't be too ticked at myself, since this is a better way to get through the bad rolls.

As GM, I'd rule for the sake of narrative that you'd need to actively draw a weapon but stimpacks can be forgiven. iSpy, let's just get in your turn and we can move on. Rax, the next Piloting check is three Difficulty dice.

Would Issan be able to do a coercion check to try and get traffic around us to clear out a bit? He does have a collar amp to better project his voice.

If not, I'm okay with him just continuing to assist the piloting checks.

You are going at high speed, making it a little unrealistic, but the thought of a Twi'lek with a collar-mounted megaphone sticking his head out of the top of a speeding truck and shouting at the traffic to get out of the way is so amazingly funny/awesome that I'll make it a Hard check and leave it at that.

Incidentally, are you lot scared of the Destiny points? I don't think anyone's asked to upgrade a check yet! Not that I'm judging, and maybe I should use a few on my own end, but they're there for using.

ISSAN NEEDS NO STINKING UPGRADES!

....that his own talents don't give him already. I now dread how those threat are going to be interpreted.

Oh, they get out of the way. Whether it is due to you or the pursuit is a different question.

It also clears the way for the Pursuit, by my reckoning.

I would like to apologize in advance if I accidentally kill any of the following:

1. Tookur

2. Tookur's truck

3. A PC

4. Multiple PCs

5. All the PCs

6. Hapless civilians

Fly free, brave truck! Be free!!!

I love how you've got the hapless civvies at the literal bottom of the list of apology...

I decided to go with "swerve into traffic" since that's probably the preferred method of losing someone on Coruscant.

Swerve? SWERVE?! SWERVE?!?!

Dude, Rax just put us on "Galaxy's Most Dangerous Speeder Chases". Thankfully, there's no athletics check of anything else to account for the damage.

Second, I'm having flashbacks of Fort Carson '06, where the navigator told the convoy to take a "short cut" through the hills. At night. With no running lights.

Thankfully, there's no athletics check of anything else to account for the damage.

That's what you think...

Well, the bad news is that I didn't take the fall well.

The good news is that I can probably use my Advantages to cushion someone elses!

Anyone in the cab (so CT I think) gets a Boost to their check. Rax takes no damage or strain. You got lucky punk

Lucky is one of Rax's middle names!

These dice! Four Failures???

At least you had five successes. Though I'm pretty sure everyone is going to have problems when we get back.

Ok Titch, when we get back to base I need you to activate your rocket thrusters and carry me to safety over the angry, bruised heads of our comrades to the nearest locked room. Which may be a bathroom, so see if you can't rustle up some reading material as we go.

This is one of those times where we all have to question your sanity, just so you know.

First of all I need to find some and get them attached to me... so we better hope that the truck will hold out :P lol

What does "damage equal to wounds" mean? Am I just supposed to take wounds all the way to my threshold?

Sorry, I meant damage equal to failures! My mistake

Luckily for us, strain can be taken care of with a simple Cool or Discipline check at the end of the encounter. Unless Rax drives us straight to the base in a hurry, we can wait a few minutes to try and get every settled a bit.

Actually, how did Tookur take the test?

Tookur took the test through the magic of the GM's power. Don't worry, he was fine!

Spent the 5xp on the Sniper Shot talent, Page 156 AoR core.

Will enough time pass for strain recovery?
