Edge of Darkness OOC

By ColonelCommissar, in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG

I think we should mostly stick together. Someone getting too far ahead or behind is a bad thing, since they could be the only target in range of enemies. (Meaning they get shot at multiple times in the round. )

I want to try and get everyone though the gate I spotted and back to the vehicle, and I've got a stun grenade ready for either the enemies behind us or in front of us.

Added to the requisition list: Party Favors for the enemy.

Sounds good to me. Though at this time I believe it would be good to check on our vehicle asap.

Gonna throw a wild idea, could we flip a destiny for a major distraction? Another group of rebels firing at one of the 2 groups as they flee the scene? Convenient orders shifting one of the squads to a new position?

Considering that two groups of stormtroopers have seriously wounded and dead on hand, I'd say that was already done.

Ok, I just put in my Incidental and Maneuver for the first slot or second slot, depending on what Issan does. I only have my Action left, which I am putting as assisting Toco up or helping Issan move him. Now, whether that means we drag him or I carry him, that is a better question left to Issan.

In

the mean time, is there anyway to diagnose the injuries Toco took without using my action?

If you put him under his wound threshold I'd say he can walk just fine, thus eliminating the need for Toco to be carried

Eh, it's the best way I figured would get back up. Especially since my character doesn't know how badly Toco was injured.

May I recommend that we bot Issan for this turn? I really want to get Geoff, Toco, and Issan out of the path of the Stormtroopers and not get shot.

I've just been waiting for this whole thing to sort itself out (in the sense of our battleplan). Sorry, I'm busy most weekdays.

I think our battle plan is runnnnnn! Lol!

I want to toss a stun grenade at some Stormtroopers, but want to decide if I should throw it at the ones behind us or in front of us...

Well, plus I wanted to see if we wanted to use up Geoff's medical check to clear Toco's crit.

Probably don't need to do a crit heal mid-combat if he only has one. It'd take a crazy roll and a ton of +crit modifiers to actually kill him.

While that can be useful, the crit isn't that severe, since it only affects him this turn. That being said, I do not want to make the situation worse.

Plus, I thought Issan was going to help move Toco, which can be problematic should the other stormtrooper squad comes in.

Since Issan moved without helping Toco, can I retroactively burn my action to drag Toco into the street with me and away from the stormtroopers out front?

Let's go with Issan and Geoff moving through the back door and towards the cloister short cut, and I'll toss a stun grenade at the Stormtroopers pursuing us through the house. Even if I miss, I'll run too!

Sounds good to me.

Yeah, except from some observations about the architecture, Geoff isn't going to do a whole lot. Granted, I would like to patch everyone up and take care of Toco's critical, but I want us to be reasonably safe and secure before that happens.

I'm going to go ahead and take the first slot, hopefully that will give a boost die to Toco or Rax (or even Oro, if he needs it).

Ok, I want to get the sequence of events down pat.

We enter a courtyard from the north side that has a fountain in the middle. Southside has two doors.

When we get to the fountain, a rebel comes in from the south, only to get hit by the stormtroopers. We have four groups of four stormtroopers each, two coming from the right and two coming from the left.

We are behind cover.

Geoff is trying to stay behind cover while providing a boost dice to one of the other players.

Toco opens fire one group of four stormtroopers, generating 4 successes, 3 advantage, 1 Triumph.

Rax Opens fire on the same group, generating 4 successes, 6 advantage.

Right off the bat, how is the damage used? What is being used to cause crits? What are being used to generate boost dice/upgrades to our shooting/downgrades to theirs/etc.?

At the time, I am tracking one boost dice from Geoff.

I think that's accurate. Though if I had seen Tocos results before I made my roll, I would have targeted a different group. So, I think we're making puppy eyes at Colonel and asking if we can please retroactively split our efforts because I would have chosen a different target had I known that they were all dead, or could be dead.

Schrodinger's Stormtroopers.

Hence why I am asking here instead of the IC. There was too much going on over there when it should be for IC actions. OOC might be a better place for discussing how we should go about using the Advantages and Triumphs.

That's a good plan. I'm trying to keep the IC thread relatively clear of confusion.

Some points: you entered from the south with the Stormies chasing you

The Stormtroopers in the front on the left lose two (Toco) and those in the front on the right lose three (Rax)

I'll repost once I get off my mobile to account for this. Remember: one PC slot left

Fantastic throw Jaspor!!!

Thanks, but I paid for it, lol. Ouch!

I know the feeling, Colonel has hot dice!

I think either CeeTee or Issan is up next.

Full disclosure: if any of you die I will feel extreme guilt. So don't die

CT should go, Issan isn't that good with his blaster and it feels like shouting at the Stormtroopers isn't going to do any good until I can get Scathing Tirade...
