Edge of Darkness OOC

By ColonelCommissar, in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG

Well you could take a Setback dice to shoot to wound rather than kill, or just set your weapons to stun (which I think pretty much all of you can do).

And while you can't nominate yourself, if someone else wants to nominate you then I'll permit a little bit of metagaming.

Edit: if one of you wants nominate someone else for leader that's cool. That person will have to make a competitive social/leadership/knowledge: warfare check to determine who wins the election though.

Let me quote/paraphrase a Good Shepard: "The Bible is quite clear on the subject of murder. However, it is a might fuzzy on the subject of kneecaps."

-or-

To quote/paraphrase a Salarian Doctor: "I help people. Sometimes by healing them, sometimes by shooting them."

But then didn't a might warrior once say "I don't need luck. I have ammo"?

Looks like Issan got his nomination. Any one else going to nominate anyone?

He he, might as well make it interesting, right? :)

im 'sleeping'
IC i really dont like the idea of just barging in there... i smell imperial involvment all over it

OOC still dont like it...

Interesting about sums it up.

Still (not making any comments) you've got to wonder what would happen if Rax was leading the cell.

"Sir, what should our short-term strategy be?"

"Get starfighters!"

"...right sir. And our long-term strategy?"

"Fly them!"

No no no, long-term strategy would be to blow **** up using the starfighters. Imperial stuff preferably, of course.

I'm fairly sure that would hold second or third-tier priority below flying really really fast. Preferably towards a conveniently vulnerable super weapon.

Is it all right for me to flip a destiny to upgrade my check on this?

Flip away, I'm cool with it.

*In an overly dramatic voice* Do it. Dooo it. It is your destiny... *Cackles madly*

Gah, so close, yet so far!

One of these days....*mumbles to self*

Hence the reason for going with a direct assault against the Command Center. The faster we hit that spot, the quicker we can shut Zavvel down and possibly get evidence of his crimes, along with any possible Imperial connections.

Yeah. No chance Rax's little speech counts as (very) unskilled assistance?

It's not bad. Plus, you might be able to make a good argument about keeping our team together for the foreseeable future.

I think that nice exchange should be a good transition point. Shall we move onto the operation?

what group am i in?

any checks that need to be made CC?

Out of the group of PCs only Issan and Rax are confronting Zavvel. The rest of you are on the grand adventure of marching through the sewers to flank them. Tell the Dinagoa Rax says hello!

hell of a job for a droid in the sewers :P but OK.

is someone basically carrying me at certain points?

Jump jets are a wonderful, and in this case non-testable, thing!

****, I was hoping for a bit more setup between the brief and going to the sewers.

For what? I can allow for flashbacks, but I had assumed everything was set up.

Also, it should be noted that Omek has a comm channel open to the other teams, allowing them to listen in.

I'm just being a bit anal retentive about what was going on. Best example would be to "not walk into Mordor" without an escape plan. Relying on the cavalry to save your butt isn't exactly a good idea. Especially if said Cavalry hasn't been in position yet.

The other issues are "minor and role play ones", such as Geoff going over the medical gear with Lieutenant Braxus and ensuring he had someone on hand who can use the gear should Geoff be occupied. Plus, it would help to ensure everyone had a stimpack and emergency medpac on them encase Geoff has to do some battlefield first aid.

But beyond that, not a whole lot to complain now.

Not a problem. I hope I can address a few of your concerns but I was getting a general consensus towards moving the narrative forward.
