So if you've ever played Setlers of Catan you may hate the Go-ram dice as much as I do. I've used the card variant several times, and it does help out because it's set up mathematically to produce the same number frequentlys as dice.

I've been contemplating making a card set to replace the dice in Starwars X-wing Miniatures. This wold only be for non-tournament games, with my friends.

What are your thoughts?

Why? Just curious not being a Doyle.

You know the expression, "If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all." Well that's me.

When you have a cloaked Phantom die at range 3 in the first or second round. Or have all 4 A-wings wiped out in 4 rounds, you lose faith in the dice. I'm just sick and tired of rolling ALL blanks, and loosing the game, simply because of bad dice rolls. A card system would reduce the luck involved increasing skill and strategy. And give some of us with no luck an opportunity to win once in awhile.

Yeah fair enough for casual games. Will probs slow your games down and a few of my group of mates would abuse this to no end. But would be good to hear how it goes if you do make them.
