On the Boat!

By eWabbie, in Warhammer Quest: The Adventure Card Game

I'm feeling it for a preview this coming week. Feelin' it in me waters. Especially given the little video teaser for Fury of Dracula yesterday, which went to 'on the boat' on the same day, so maybe a teaser video for this first too, rather than a preview?

Nothing like waiting until the last minute...

Well and hopefully now that we have a video well start seeing some preview articles. I wonder if Friday is going to be our day til release.

Alright! I should still have some money when this gets released!

So another two-three weeks then?

What I am wondering is why it went from 4-6 weeks, on average for OTB, to where we are now closing on the 8th week of on the boat.

That's two months of ship time.

8 weeks! Gah!

8 weeks! Gah!

Maybe it has the curse of Nurgle on the shipment?

Or maybe the game has already arrived at the warehouse.

Behind the scenes FFG might be holding the game back so they can post a few more game previews and release it closer to Christmas.

Last time Games Workshop had anything "on the boat" it was Dreadfleet and that sank without a trace...

Baddum-tish!

Sorry. And yeah I do own Dreadfleet..

I'm drifting in this non-sense :P

Anyhoo, a guy on BGG posted pictures of his own copy of Runebound, that according to FFG's upcoming page is on the boat too. So, possibly the "on the boat" symbology is not universally valid? Dunno

The Sleeper shall....erm...play cards?

So if the game occupies Cthulhu enough to stop him rising and destroying the world, then thats a good enough reason FFG need to release expansions for this game!

You hear that FFG? Fate of the world in your hands, make more cards please ;)

Keeping an eye out for this one! Please hurry FFG I'm soooo bored! :)

This boat all this crap is on is killing me. Besides Warhammer Quest, which I want to get, it has certain Armada items on it as well!. If it does not get here by Nov 10th, my pre orders may languish for months due to a certain wasteland.

Give me a Warhammer Quest :-)

It feels like this boat is also carrying toxic waste and keeps getting turned away from port.

Over on BGG someone just posted a copy they picked up from their FLGS in Europe.

That's cause they let boats with toxic sludge into port there!

I'll have you know they just pump it directly into the Irish Sea now...

We are getting to the point where we are looking at a shipment that has taken a quarter of a year to ship. Finding that a bit odd. I have heard of a two month ship from china, but not a quarter of a year.

A month or so ago, someone in this thread said they thought it might be a Christmas ploy of sorts, that FFG was waiting until an unannounced release date and that the games were already off the boat. I'm in the U.S. but I checked Amazon's UK site today. Unlike the U.S. site, they have a release date to pre-order by: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B013TRY0F6?keywords=Warhammer%20Quest%3A%20The%20Adventure%20Card%20Game&qid=1447387426&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1

So, the previous prediction I mentioned was not far off, it would seem. I can be patient as long as I have a specific date. Thought I'd pass on the info to help alleviate frustration such as mine.

According to US customs, October 23rd was the last time a boat landed in a US port containing a shipment for Fantasy Flight Games.

I suppose that shipment could have had WQ on board. But it's already been 3 weeks since then and most places in the US are saying they don't expect to get WQ for yet another 2-4 weeks. The UK date of November 22nd makes more sense to me (about a month). But does it really take 5-7 weeks from a ship landing in a US port to get the products onto store shelves?

Maybe it does. I have no experience with such things. But my assumption is that it doesn't usually take that long. My guess is that the boat with WQ destined for the US hasn't landed yet.

I hope I'm wrong. :)

I'm curious where one looks up this kind of information.

One can pay for access to such databases.

Tradesparq.com is one such access point.
