106 points for the Command variant but I can't quite make it for the Assault Variant.

I find it super interesting that they have a support team slot rather than a gunnery team

Looks like double digits for the assault variant. Looks like 98 to me. Called the speed 2 and the squadron 4 on the command variant!

I think its 114 for Assault. Lack of Gunnery team makes me sad, those huge side arcs just asked for it!

And with that glare, really hard to see, but it almost looks like either 104, or *94* for points, which would be... very odd... It does kind of look like 2 digits to me, and the second one seems to be angular like a 4.

I do like the fact that Rebels have a speed 2 ship that is full of Broadsides. Very different from the usual flanking that the Rebels currently have

That said, I'm not too worried about the MC80 versus the ISD. With 4 shields on the front and side facings, 2 redirects and a brace, and 8 hull points... I'm pretty sure it's going to tank the front arc of the ISD relatively easily.

Only Engineering 4 means that it's going to require careful management of engagements though. It can tank but not for too long.

It's a perfect anchor to the line, especially with Ackbar. Can you imagine the assault variant with Ackbar and Enchanced Armaments?! It's 7 freaking red dice in your primary arc! God forbid you concentrate fire! That's probably why they didn't give it a gunnery team. That's just not fair. It's a big giant "come at my bro" sign. They essentially force any Imperial list to deal with it or else. That sets you up to have all kinds of shenanigans with the rest of your fleet. Pair it with Assault Frigates and/or MC30s and you've got the broadside fleet from hell.

Also, as much as we're bitching about speed 2, the fact that it has a support team instead of a weapons team means you can slap engine techs on this bad boy. Heck even an engineering team or a nav team would be pretty awesome.

Two defensive retrofits!? This is great!! Nw we can have advanced counter measures and enhanced shield genearator (or what ever it was called). Fifteen shield and you have no way of getting around it even with Darth Vader and an ISD2. Except with XI-7s.

Except that you can still move a significant chunk of damage even with XI7s. The FAQ clarified that you can still re-direct hits to multiple other hull zones. You just can't move more than one to each. No doubt about it, the MC80 assault cruiser is going to be one tough nut to crack. I'M SO EXCITED!!!

Hmmmmmm so an Assault Frigate Mkii B in the command, squadrons, and engineering. Hmmmm ok.

Speed 2, we'll I was wrong. . . This will be difficult to support. . . Then again with Engine Techs I am not sure I care. I was right in the attack dice. The Assault Cruiser looks to be 94 (glare on a card would have a darker patch if there was a third number.

Hmmmmm, good, but not great. . . Can keep up with B-Wings though, can get Engineering Team though which means a repair 5 which with a token it is 7. Hmmmmm

The biggest issue is that the roles are reversed now. Rebels have a HUGE slow ship. . . This can make life tricky. Then again I think Nav Team will make a resurgence
