I believe that FFG, (either willingly or unwillingly), will soon release Expansion packs for the new Tie/fo Fighter and the T-70 X-Wing.

I'm struggling to imagine a situation in which FFG releases a blister for a ship they've already designed (so it's simply designing new pilots and upgrades) under duress.

It seems very likely that we will see them announced shortly.

To follow in the Wave 1 format, they'd be those two along with whatever the Y-Wing and TIE/Ad equate to.

LFL has forced content into games before. That's how we got Episode I stuff in SWCCG.

The catalog numbers pretty much show that neither of these will be the case.

There's only 2 slots in the numbering after this core set and before wave 8. So the xpacs are coming before the next wave, and there's not going to be anything besides the T-70 and the TIE/FO.

I fully agree that it would make sense to add the T-70 and TIE/fo. I was just thinking what the next would be. However, depending on how tight they want to maintain secrecy about what else is in the movie, we may or may not see anything else before the theatrical release.

The books choices are a t-70, TIE FO, and TIE COG. All those have been showed off pretty heavily in all the promo stuff so far.

In the previews we have seen a tie fighter with an under slung turret, gunner, extra armor and reinforced wing mounts. I think it has been identified as a special forces tie or something.

The reinforced wing mounts look a bit like giant gears, so several people have nicknamed it the TIE/cog.

Whatever they are, I hope they come with a pile of options for this new "tech" slot. I got three ships with the slot and one card between them.

"Tech" will be a groundbreaking slot that I suspect will be primarily on ships released post TFA, but titles and such will allow Tech retrofits.

I'm starting to think FFG will give the t-65 a title for "tech" and similar to the advanced offer points off your tech.

The COG is probably going to be the TIE/sf, but who knows?

I'm also betting that unless Pharasma is a pilot that all the remaining unique TIEs are gonna have the same generic names as the base set, just because the writers are too lazy to give everyone names, unlike the people working on the OT (and Prequels I suppose, though that may have mostly been the Clone Wars II cartoon.

Well you had half of wave 1, the aces pack were just repaints and other things.

So yeah odds are there will be a T-70 expansion and a FO expansion. When will they come out is anyone's guess. Will they be released before or after Wave 8 well again a good question but they are going to be here eventually.

While the odds ARE likely that a single TIE/fo and T-70 are on the way, I still think that we will see the Millennium Falcon reissued. This is because it is features in the movie. If it was packages with a scum dial for Kanjikub gang and Tasu Leech pilot cards as well as which ever hero pilots it, as well as adding the Black and Orange T-70 we would have a decent "aces" pack, or escape fromJakku pack.

I would say that's a safe bet since, again, Wave 8 and the Gozanti are next in the release lineup after these 3 Ep. 7 releases, and Wave 8 isn't out till next year. So I don't see any chance of there being more Ep 7 releases before the movie.

I wish the T-70 and TIEFO would hurry up and be released so that I can put in my MM order to get it over $99... I don't know how much patience I will have for too much longer, and I might have to just order 2 core sets and pay the 6 bucks.

I played two games with the TIE/FO last night. Omega Ace with PTL sucked against Chewie tho
