The refined cortosis staff has 2 hard points and I can't find anything that would make sense as an attachment besides superior. Any ideas?

Stun pulse could be fun.
How does the stun pulse exactly work? If I were to attack someone with a staff that has a fully modded stun pulse would I do say 7 wounds and 5 strain damage to someone, or is it normal damage +5 all dealt to strain?

If you can activate Stun Pulse (2 advantage) you do 5 strain with no soak in addition to the normal damage of the weapon. As I understand it, you do NOT need to exceed soak on the wound damage to activate it, unlike a crit.

That is correct. For active weapon qualities, you just have to hit the target. That's what makes an unarmed attack something that's occasionally useful, as the Disorient 1 and Knockdown qualities can be applied even if your punch fails to do any real damage to the guy you just punched.
