Amen. The Scyk doesn't need a ship specific fix. It just needs more cannons to be released. The Scyk isalready unique in that it is the cheapest cannon platform in the game by a significant margin (5 pts cheaper than B-wing). Sooner or latter there will be a cannon released that will work wonders when used in mass quantities and placed on a cheap ship (a la the TLT). The Tractor Beam may be this cannon. If not, FFG will likely release one sooner or later.

I think the Scyk fix is called the Kihraxz Fighter. You need something that is more threatening than the Scyk to make the Scyk work. If you have only Scyks, they get blasted. If your most threatening thing is the Scyks, it gets blasted. Throw in something more dangerous and the Scyks fly under the radar.

Someone has a thread on here that he won an event this weekend with 3 Kihraxz Fighters and 2 x Mangler Scyks. He went undefeated the whole 5 round event.
