Hi all,
Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere.
I have seen it said that the new 'passing' ruling from FFG makes the 'sit tight' card redundant, but is that really true?
The 'Sit Tight' card's wording requires you to play the card at the start of the round. That's a limitation, perhaps. But its potential benefit to the player with fewer deployment cards than his/her opponent is surely huge: you force your opponent to continue activating until you have *more* ready deployment cards than him/her.
That's surely quite different from the new skirmish game ruling, which says that...
“During a skirmish, if your opponent has more ready Deployment cards than you, you may choose not to activate a group and pass play to your opponent.”
Here, while the advantage can be exploited more freely, its benefit is more constrained: you can pass until you have *the same number* of ready deployment cards as your opponent.
So, the question is, are people still using the 'sit tight' card in their skirmish builds, or has the new ruling devalued its advantage to the point that it is now an unattractive option?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
Cheers,
Matt
