What did I misinterpret ? Did they use the new deck in this game ?

After the round in which you receive the card, your PS is 0 for the rest of the game. Old crit deck was unclear, some people thought it meant only the next round.

Eventually. This new version of Cryodex is giving issues exporting a save file so I might need to recreate it manually.

The turn that did me in in Top 4 was certainly hit hit crit crit vs my 2 shield IG88, rolling 3 blanks with a focus. Then I got direct hit and PS0. Had I not gotten at least PS0 then I could have s-looped him to kill Whisper next round who I forced a bump on (again).

My mistake at shooting Whisper first round with B instead of C to eat captive stress was actually OK, although in the interview after I referred to it as a mistake. I'll talk about it in detail on the next podcast. :-)

It was a very hard matchup for me and I took unusually long for my turns to control Whisper, who I was able to neutralize although not kill early. (Doing 1 damage from both IGs the first round did not help) Most my other matchups during Swiss and elimination were over in 35-45 minutes tops.

I've just finished watching Bob Randall's semifinal, and about 40 minutes in he received the ps 0 crit, now correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the effect for that crit limited to one round ? .. If so, It seemed to me that he Bob played as if he was ps 0 for multiple rounds which led to his IG dying without taking its final hlc fcs shot. Ultimately leading to his defeat

They played it right. I thought the same thing for the first 6 months I played X-Wing.

To re-iterate what a lot of people have said - great job on this. Other than the stream cutting out at random times, it was really well-done and well-presented. I lost a chunk of my Sunday to it, and my family greatly appreciated* the excited explanation of how cool it was that a PS2 B-Wing and Z-95 managed to hunt down Whisper for the win.

* - Actual level of appreciation may be lower than it appears.

Curious as to your thoughts on target prioritization on a Whisper / Deci list. In your game you went after Whisper; I'd think from a points standpoint it would be better to have gone after the Decimator since it would allow a partial victory at time if you traded one ship for one ship, but by killing the Phantom first it forces you to get a full win by time, assuming a trade of one ship.

Whisper is perhaps more dangerous, but can end up losing shots due to arcs. The Deci always has arc (though AT is in your favor), but with low evade should just melt under HLC fire.

If he let up on the pressure for Whisper, then that means Whisper would've slipped around to kill an Iggy. And with Kenkirk and Palpatine, the Decimator won't melt like normal Decis would. And again, turning your back to Whisper is just asking for bad, bad things to happen.
