so hows does the new core set feel with the old ships?

By Blail Blerg, in X-Wing

whats the thoughts so far?

Fairly balanced.

Like Ewing's and Awings only they confused their boosts and rolls

Dash Rendar says he feels great!

I like the "Super Ties" was odd flying them with shields AND TLs..lol but they are more expensive.. tried flying the stress eating one and never got to use that ability!! same for wired. looks great and is cheap but never used it!! weapons guidance came in handy a few times..

Poe and Corran pair well together. The Atlanta area is starting to develop 2 small ship lists that are performing well. I myself have done it with Miranda and Corran.

The crux of this apparently, is to pick one ship and Corran to taste.

The E-Wing may be a little flimsy, but it's undeniably a badass little ship! :)

Isnt Miranda/Corran stricly worse than Dash/Corran? I dont see it, to be honest.

Poe combos well with other ships in both his PTL/BB8 version and LW/R5D9 version.

Tycho loves Wired.

Miranda has the upside of having regen. Add to that the ability to controll with nets and I can see Miranda/Corran beat Dash/Corran. With SLAM and her higher PS she can jump into super Dashs doughnut hole pretty easily.

oh god the implications...

but yes, Miranda has quite a few advantages over Dash and vice versa. It's range-1-capable, bombs, shield regen, c3po versus doughnut-hole, fully modded HLC, obstacle ignoring, making for two vastly different pilots/ships

the only problem with Miri + corran is that Miri is in a weird spot for point cost that has her hovering in the 38-46 range which, along with corran's 44/45 standard cost, leaves too much room for a bid and too little room for a prototype pilot (the only rebel filler of merit) unless you go very minimalist on Miri.

Miri + Poe or Corran + Poe leaves room to squeeze that one A-wing in :)

The crux of this apparently, is to pick one ship and Corran to taste.

Lt Blount and Advanced Homing Missiles need to shut that down, pronto.

Edit: as to Miranda lists, get silly with:
